um i dunno if you can get them in stores becasue they are limited editions, (at least i think it is) your best bet is to buy one from the guy in Australia, he is very reliable and postage wouldnt be 2 slow. ill send you the link, i found mine in the forsale thread and even though it has 5L through it its nearly like new, the construction of it is different make of Nikasil run-in is short, parts last longer Awsome engine.

here is the Webpage, o and this guy has got all the parts to go along with it

pro shop futaba

The quickest engine I've ever seen was a Max MF12 Worlds Edition. If I was buying a new engine it'd be that, or an EVO4 STI. There are a bunch of new engines about to come out too, I heard the fastest lap in portugal was set using the OS TX so that might be worth waiting for, the new ninjas (also by OS) are supposed to be ballistic too

Ninja are a bitch to tune and dont have much Go after they have been run-in, and if you get a half decent one that still has awsome compression after the run in, then u do rods like there is no tomorrow.

these are the engines i was considering buying before i found the second hand engine that CraidM sold me

JLR Red-Dot Evo 3
JLR Red-Dot Evo 3 Tuned
GRP .12 Touring
Novarossi 3-SCT
OS TZ
Kyosho X312T Tem Orion CRF
RB Rody Tuned .12

They are all good engines, it depends on what type of track you have is it a small tight technical or is it Open and high top speeds. if ur on a tight technical track i woldnt recommend a high tourqe engine, for this one i would recommend,
JLR Red-Dot Evo3 (not the tuned)
GRP
Novarossi
OS
TZ
X312T

Open track
All of the ones listed above

JLR Red-Dot Evo 3
JLR Red-Dot Evo 3 Tuned
GRP .12 Touring
Novarossi 3-SCT
OS TZ
Kyosho X312T Tem Orion CRF
RB Rody Tuned .12

That may have been the case for the GRP made ninjas, but being OS made the new ones should be great. My Spec II is a little rocket and it's a piece of cake to tune

My suggestion is stay away from the Orion engines... They are a bitch to tune... If you have $450 to throw, and you are a beginner. Get yourself a Novarossi 12-3SCT with a MAX 2602 pipe. Trust me, theres nothing better than a Novarossi. They are the easiest to tune, parts availability is excelent. There are many manufacturers that are making engines based on Novarossi, like RB and MAX... And all nova based engines are bullets... Trust me, with a novarossi on your car, its one less thing to worry about going wrong...

as if the Orion are a hard to tune, the one i bought of CraigM is lightning even when the high speed needle is at the factory setting, i reckon it is easier than my TG to tune and that was a piece of cake. its all about your tuning technique as well.

but stick with a well known if i could buy a brand new engine it would be either a Novarossi 12-SCT Murnan Modified, JLR Red-dot evo 3 tuned Murnan Modified, X312T Team Orion (if it comes Murnan Modified than ill take that).

if u can afford it you cant go wrong with a Novarossi 12-SCT Tuned

I would say go with the Sirio Evo IV Sti and the Sirio 2611 pipe. That motor has very good throttle control from bottom to top and torque everywhere. I ran mine for the 1st time this past weekend and it was easily one of the fastest motors on the track. Won the B-Main by 3 ro 4 laps and was on cruise control the last 10 minutes of the race. Got the bump up to the main and started from 10th spot and made it to 7th place. Not bad considering it was the 2nd time racing my Evo 2 and the 1st time out with the Sirio motor.

The Matrix line is based on Sirio Engines, the R3 is based on the Novarossi engines. I'd suggest to stick with the R3, there was not much success with the Matrix line, and I believe it was discontinued...

I can suggest the following:

Novarossi 12-3SCT, Pipe 2602
RB R3, Pipe 2602, 2604
Novarossi 353, Pipe 2602
JP Eagle 12, Pipe 2620

you can also use 2630 for the 353. this combo would be around 430dollars. r3 + 2604 pipe 380dollars.
xxl3 + 2602 480dollars. the best engines i think, and they are not as expensive as jp eagles. with 550dollars, you would get a full ceramic murnan 353.

if you looking or a combo in the one package then go buy the GRP one, engine is fast, pipe will fit the 3 chamber rule if its not already in.

Easy to get parts for, bit over priced but if you wont to get all in 1 that is what happens.
