trying to buy two extra conrods for this engine, anyone know if its novarossi part no. 07601 or 07062 ???

The replacement rod will depend on which mf .12 you have. From my experience with Nova based motors I wouldn't bother buying a spare rod, unless you do something to damage the motor it will last at least as long as the sleeve anyway.

mark, i was told that you need to replace the rod after break-in, thereafter after every 5lts of fuel, the MF actually locks up at TDC, and this puts extra strain of the rod, one they guys runs the Mega MF.12 and his engine still locks up at TDC even after he's put 5lts through this engine.


i had an STS D3R, which was quick tight as well, even after break-in, and i never replaced the rod, and guess what, one my warm-up lap just before the final, the rod goes, so lesson learnt here, change a worn rod.
