I tried to run the RRR, I could do a single lap quicker but overal the car was too tail happy and inconsistent where as the FW05 had a gentle understeer.

I have now switched to the G4S as this still has a solid rear end but has more steering than the FW05 (I am now a lap faster) but I am still using the FW05 for the Truck class as it handles better with rubber tyres.

zero front droop was the only solution I found, but it was still not enough for Foam racing hence my switch to the G4S.
(I assume you are running the RRR 2 degree front hubs?)
If it is for Rubber then use softer inserts in the front (soft front, medium rear).

Throttle servo suffers badly from vibration
make sure you rubber mount the servo and do not have it tight
I also raise mine 1mm so it cleared the chassis when it moved
I lost 2 servo's until I did this and never lost another one since

I got some FW05 stuff sitting on the side collecting dust. A chassis and a full Kawahara middle conversion with the steel gears.

If anybody wants it let me know

Cheers

Hey I got a fw-05t upgraded to a bastard R/RR and I want to replace my stock shocks with the 3-Racing ones. Are they any good? They cost half of what kyosho asks for their tuned ones...

Default Exhausts for 05 series

Gday everyone I have been running the cheaper JPL pipes on my 05 and have gone through a few. What I wanted to know is are the skyline and the hard pipes that much stronger. I dont mind spending the extra money if I dont have to replace the damn pipe every time I take a hit.
Yeah I know need to stay out of the way so I dont get hit but unavoidable sometimes. Are all the other more expensive pipes stronger then the JPL like the Novarossi etc or are the Hard and the Skyline the pick of the bunch.
Thanks
