It all depends on the track which you will be driving your car.

Depends on the motor, but since it runs very freely, it's not much. I run a Mugen X-12, not going back to 40t. 37t works ecellent in all conditions for me.

I have the 37T gears in an FW05 running the kit GS15R motor with default 2-speed 21/26 pinions, it still pulls better than standard FW05S's 39T gears with same default gears.
Cars is only 1 lap slower with the GS15R than it was with a JP FX T03, and it upsets many other Scale Rubber racers who cannot match the lap times with supposively better full race RRR's,710's,MTX3's,NTC3's,R40's.

Default front blade bar set up help please

hey team
just wanted some help on adjusting the front blade bar

the question is, you know the weird shape plastic part on either sode of the blade bar that adjusts the height of the steering arm ?

should they both be in the same to eachother ? what do these things adjust ?
are they adjusted accordingly to set the droop or are the droop screw in the front bulkhead used for droop ?

should the blade bar be set before droop ? the right adjuster part points out to the side where the one on the left points updwards.. weird

just a bit confused about this

thanks
John

The two plastic holders on the sides of your front anti-roll blade are meant to equalise your left and right droop height. First you have to ensure the spacing between the two droop set screws are equal and then use these plastic ears to adjust so that the droop is equal right and left. Yes, it is common for the 'ears' to be asymmetrical i.e. not the same but that doesn't matter.

Hope this is clear enough.

How would you know if a car "looks fast" just by looking at it? Looks light? heavy? size?

I'd guess the same way a Ferrari looks fast but a Dodge Caravan looks slow.

Because one associates good engineering with good performance. A well engineered peice of hardware is as beautiful as a painting. I honestly believe for the issues Kyosho's do have, they are beautifully engineered in all the right places.

my FW-05RR is a work of art as far as I am concerned, and just looking at it, it looks fast

A friend who is into cars (real cars) was looking at my RR and asked me "so how does this thing scale?" I explained that if it were full scale for displacement at this power output it would be on par with a top fuel dragster plant crammed into a sub 800lb chassis. that put a smile on his face (thats 5000+ Hp to 800lbs chassis)

Default 37t ring gears on small to medium track ??

hey guys

how does the fw drive on small to medium size tracks with stock gearing and 37t ring gears ?

i tried the car today on a larger track with 37t gears and it ran sweet but the track i mostly run at is much smaller. the track today has a straight of about 50 metres with a 20 meter sweeper at the end.

the track i normally run at has a straight of no more than 30meters.
i read someone on here that the stock 40t ring gears are good enough. im yet to try the 40t at the long straight

thanks
john
