Hey is it a black piece of circle with a cut on one end and is about 5mm wide? in terms of the length of the restrictor, not the diameter.

hey guys i just picked up my FW-05R today!!! i noticed a slight problem as i've read somewhere in here that a guy was having problems with one side being able to steer my than the other side in my case the right side steers more compared to the left. Reason being is that the steering plate right arm hits the exhaust mount near the tank. What did you guys have to do to solve this may i ask?
Also if this car lacks top speed why do guys want to even lower your diff gears like 37T ? im opening up my front diff to see why does a front one way need a diff gear!!!!!!!!

Just managed to get the 39T rng gear. much nicer. The FW was much nicer to drive. 37T next.

by just changing the ring gear from 40 to 37 you get about an 8% increase in speed from the kit gearing.

I run the Kawahara 46T 0.8 ring gears (46/17) and have found the car runs much freer, and I don't have to run the largest pinion gear anymore.

with the JP FX12 T03 I still run a 22t 1st gear to prevent wheelspin and qualified 4th at the recent National.
(was my home track which helped)

Done 8 full meetings + a few practice days, and they show no sign of wear yet.

Kyosho stopped making that kit and I don't believe any hobby shop has that in stock.

You never need worry about stripped crown wheel or pinion again with the centre conversion. The pinion shaft is also supported better. It does however give front wheel overdrive so the front wheels must be 1.5mm smaller at least.

Don't they sound great under hard braking?
