If I remember correctly the Mugen pivots I picked up were for the 8th onroad or the MTX4. They work great and are stronger than stock. Indeed a bit longer, but not so much that it's a problem.

Anyways, they went right in perfectly.I guess the moral of the story is that there's another (more popular) current car that uses the same size pillowballs.

On that note does anyone have any problem with the standard r40 pillow balls stripping out in hard hits in the plastic arms.
Seems when I had plastic arms I was dealing with this issue. After I went with the CG arms this went away. Im thinking on if I should trim my 3racing pillowballs to the size of r40 or just leave them larger since im probably going to use this on plastic armed hara.

AI- Are the CG arms more durable than the stock ones? Where are they sold. I'm trying to get my real car completely ready to hit the roads since I'll be journeying to much farther tracks for other races. For the moment I'll visit my two home tracks. PS YGPM

The only issue with using them is.
1. Its harder to thread in the pillow balls cause you have to be very exact and precise, otherwise the arms will bind terribly. I had to take my arms for about 2-3 days or working them really hard to get them to finally loosen enough to be acceptible.
2. I ended up blowing/ripping out my rear lower suspension blocks when I got in accident. Guess it makes it the weak point. The suspension arm shaft ripped right through it. After I replaced it with the 3racing aluminum rear blocks. Havent had one problem since.
But it was pretty funny , I could move the rear hub all around and bend it forward probably a good inch. After with the cg arms and hubs it wouldnt bend forward but maybe 1/10th an inch. Much more solid and I figure probably better at keeping its suspension geometry.
But I havent really had any problems except for the rear camber links. Which I replace with new hpi ends and some lunsford 1mm longer (should have gone more) turnbuckles.
The only thing that really happens is the nut/screw that holds the hubs/knucles against the pillow balls, sometimes come loose and I have to snug it back up to remove that slop. Which I always seemed to have this trouble with plastic arms...probably a little worse.

Well Artificial-I i went and got a hara edition R40 tonight, also if your ebay deal for the proceed fall's through pm me ill offer you cash for it, also i wanted to know who is runing a .21 in there r40's??? i have a few extra .21's and a few .26's in the box i would like to try on my r40, any personal trials with larger block's???

I dont know..im asking the same thing...Mine gets here tomorrow so ill find out, but i do know a .26 fits in a RS4-3

No, a .21 will NOT fit in the R40. The R40 fits .12s or .15s only. The OS .18s will fit only due to the fact they have the same mounting dimensions as a .12. Any other .18 with larger mounting dimension will not fit. I've seen cars with the .18tz blow away others with other BB motors in it and in turn, a .12 race motor which was designed for the car beat them both.
