Hmmmm. I was thinking about the weight and looking at my other cars I can tell that most of the plastic parts like the hubs are bigger, thicker, and more than likely heavier. Maybe we can use parts from anther car to drastically bring the weight down. Later Im going to look at other cars to see if parts can be retrofited to the r40.

If you dig through this thread, there's a whole conversation about weight. With all the hop-ups, it reduces weight quite a bit, no mixing of parts needed...

yes, but he mentioned the plastic parts, and for many of them like the bulks and hubs I dont think that there are any optional lw parts.. if there are then point me to them..

Yea but I mean this car was wayy heavier than my FT was. When you put all of the hopups on it greatly reduces weight, yea. BUTT how the other brands cars weigh so little is because of how small and light thier plastic parts are.

Interestingly you will find that your tires find their optimal diameter and stay there the longest. Mine wear from 64 to 61 very quickly, then hover around 60-57 for two times longer at least.

Some tracks just have brutal wear, a track I run at wore 3mm from my rears in 5 minutes.

What are you using to check your tires. Digital caliper?

If you read back a bit you will find my R40 2004 edition with a couple of extra hopups is 1757g ready to race with body and personal transponder. That is competitive with most nitro cars out there. I still use all the standard plastic parts that come with the car.

The heaviest things are the stock 1.0 module 2 speed and the full size battery.

Kewl. Floyd will be open actually, but just for practice. I never been to Prospeed RC and neither has my friend. They will be racing though and I never been to the track to run. I'm not sure what we will do.

Default my engine is stalling

I had an okay run with my r40 until it ran out of gas. i put in more fuel then she wont even start,i was there for a good 10mins almost lost my mind...........then i thought "gee why dont i check the glowplug" and sure enough it was toastidos! so i changed it and as soon as i did she came to life. i then revved and................... nothing she didn't move then i started to lean her out it eventually got better as it started to run/move, but then i started stalling this happened like 3 times so i decided to pack it in and ask the experts before i go screw something else again.

is the plug to tight?
or is the motor to rich? or lean?

please please help me.
