So if you do the math 5 x $80 = $400. Heck, that is more that we pay for the complete ready to run cars.

In my opinion, we would save more money with spec tires than anything else. And that might help the 401K.
I agree with the spec tire idea, put everybody on the same tires and keep the pull starter on the monster truck. I dont have a 5 shore budget but most of the competitive tires come in at about $60 a set.

Like I said, you don't need 5 different shore tires once you know what will work best for a climate.

But, if your making the rules for Roar, who's getting this personal check to, in order to just buy the "GT Spec Tire National Contract"

Give the racers the freedom to wear they shoes they like.

DJ,
When is Hong Nor or Ofna going to release a PDF setup sheet for the DM-1 and DM-1 Spec?

UMM, seems like you want to keep harping on budget but want to open up the expense book on tires....

So what's the big deal about racers having the freedom to run non pull start engines?

Most would argue the term "Racing" does not necessarily mean Low Cost at any level

Even if there was one tire designated as the tire, racers would buy new sets before they run off to some big race. How will you equalize competition (thats really what your trying to do with spec tires) between racers with Brand New spec tires, and the racer who has several events on his spec tires? You cant.

Do you plan to spec the fuel? Depending on Nitro %, they all cost different.

Everyone agrees there needs to be a competitive and low cost point of entry for racers. Budget, Spec, and Open Classes all run on cubic dollars. Just look around at the cars of people standing on a soapbox wanting spec racing. Most have already spent an extra $75 on shock towers, $100 on option shocks, etc etc

Sounds good,the info was appreciated.
