GTV2 - Is really a Team C car, long wheel base like the Kyosho GT2.
X3 - New car, a little hard to get at the moment. Watched two run at the Airtronics race in LA, purchased a used one. Needs some parts, but looks promising.
Serpent GT - fast, lots of racers ... Needs a few parts as well.
Best buy, used DM1 with stand up shocks and servos, King Heads chassis a plus
Serpent GT - most complete out if the box, least parts to purchase
X3 - Less cost than Serpent, but you will need to find one and purchase parts.
Any comment on the new Ofna Hyper GT?
Also, I got a Ofna GTP2 as my first learner car since they are very durable and affordable. With the right setup, it could hang with the big guys... for a little while.
Just buy any car and start practice!

IGT2 still up for sale with all upgrades needed. After 3 years of faithful service it's on to a newer car.

I have not seen one, but understand it was a replacement for the GTP2 car.

I ran the electric version last year with a few changes and it was a pretty quick car. I know a lot of racers are using it for speed runs, with some very fast times.

That is where my car went .....

Anybody have experience with the Go .28 engines - the "Black Mamba" or "Redfire" for ex? Need a cheap .28 for my DM-1...

Is a decent buggy .21 enough to push a 1/7 DM-1 with stock gearing? A few years back I ran a Go GX 5-port buggy engine in it, and I seem to recall it lacking a bit.. Seems like it needs a 28?... Thanks..

Default Any changes?

Anyone know of any changes that might be occuring to regs? I think the kick up requirement is silly and limiting to 6mm venturi doesn't make sense either.

Another great car F/S Serpent cobra GT RTR for sale the motor was broken in on the car. The car was raced for 2 qualifiers and that's it.

It will come with the stock dragon racing metal gear servos only. The car will not include the Futaba servos pictured. You will have to reinstall the stock servos into the radio tray. The stock motor radio tires and body are included the tires have wear from the breakin and the body has a few scuffs from the 2 qualifiers it was raced. The car is in great shape.

$450 plus shipping

Sold

Anybody here have any experience of converting 1/8 buggies to GT cars? I ask because none of the current GT cars are well supported in my area in terms of spare parts. I am tempted by a Losi/TLR 8ight 3.0 since it seems to have a lot of good reviews, is well supported in my area (even 8ight 1.0 parts are still easy to find), have a good price and I used to own a 8ight-e-T 1.0 a few years ago.

Has anyone here made their own custom chassis? If so, how did you cut out holes for counter-sunk threads? What tools did you use to do it. And finally has anyone here moulded custom bodyshells? I ask because I saw a couple of people on YouTube doing this and was interested in designing my own bodyshells, thanks.
