Has anybody tried a Schumacher/Picco 28 in their GT car?
They're going really cheaply out of England.. I find it kind of interesting because it could work in all four of my RC's - DM1, SC8, and 2x LST2's... Would I really be losing RPM's with the Rotostart backplate though?...

Herrsavage,
You'll probably lose a few rpm's due to the roto-start but you may be able to disengage it to add a few more revs. I did that to my stock OFNA Force .28 pull start engine. I've always used a starter box so I disengaged the pull start on that engine for a few more top-end revs. Don't know how much the spring, pin and oneway bearing with pull start hold back the revs but I'm sure there is a difference once it is disengaged. That's a nice looking Picco BTW! I have a Picco JL Team Turbo .28 that I am still breaking in. It only has about 10 tanks of fuel through it but I can tell it's gonna really pull in the mid range.

Now that the temps are rising, I will go up to probably 1300 diff oil.

I ran a set of those shocks for a while , and with the two hole piston I ended up running 2000wt oil. Stock front spring and other black spring rear. Didn't like how much I was having to mess with them , so I went back to the stock shock. I hope you have better luck with them. Let me know when you get them figured out and maybe I'll try mine again.

That is with the upgraded shocks using the 2-hole piston. It seems high to us off-road guys, i know, but my car got way better when I went from Kyosho 600ish fluid to 1000 diff fluid. Look at this pic, the car is moving into a corner, just off power, coming off the back straight, she is sitting level and hooked up!

Some companies use wt to rate the oils, but that seems to vary from company to company so it's hard to compare them. Then others use the true standardized cts (centistokes) value to rate. I think when you see oils rated as #xxx like Kyosho and HoBao they are using the cts values.
