I haven't been following this thread, so I don't know if its already been mentioned, but I like to stay at the Country Inn & Suites about 5 miles south of the track when I've gone there. It was about 90 bucks for a King or two queen beds. OK free breakfast. Clean and new facility. I don't run this class so I won't be attending this race, but you wll not be disappointed. It is a first class facility owned by the nicest people you would want to meet.

Does this track have an Interent connection or one they can bum off a neighbor by providing a wireless router?

I have heard the tire wear is crazy after the resufacing of the track.

I had to go two springs heavier than I previously used here before due to the amount of additional traction though.
That is what I heard also... from one of the racers from the RC Pro race this weekend... I heard they used up 2mm in 5 mins, but I do not know what the wear was like on 42s or 45s.

Can anyone update us on this topic and if it is this crazy, any plans to fix this, if this is the case?

No chunking, but the 42 rears were only good for a 10 minute qualifier, unless you ran them straight from the box! However, the traction was great.

I ran 45 rears, and they wore a good bit also.I think the track just needs to be ran on some more and it will be fine.I am sure Jeff and crew will have it right, by the nats.

In the history of the track the sealer that was put down first, had the same tire wear problems it also had its share of bumps... Now the track has fixed the bumps and added new sealer, this sealer will take a little time to wear in and the track will be fine... On saturday after 3 rounds of qualifers i had less tire wear and was expecting to find it to get better on sunday. On sunday morning we had a heavy rain and washed all the rubber of the track... The staff dryed the track and we ran for two hours of practice and rubber came right back and the tire wear was getting less and less. I think in a month of club racing and general running on the track it will be fine... Be ready to have a lot of fun at the nationals this is one of the nicest and cleanest places i have ever raced, they have clean bathrooms and really nice snack bar.... all the hotel that you want to stay at are nice and new.... If the tire wear is still very high, they should try dragging the track with a couple of old car tires. I know of a few places that had the same high tire wear after resealing. Dragging tires was a major help with that problem.
