He has been given the car to test and at this stage there in no comment on weather he will be running the car in any state events. I know his pit man and am getting my information through him and yes he is official payed by Kyosho..........

Cheers,

Well whatever Ric was driving on Sunday at Moorebank, it was quick! Not sure what his lap times were, but he did win the second A main against a Mugen Team driver. Pretty impressive on its debut (but then again, Ric can make anything look good).

Hi Everyone,

Greetings from Down Under!

I have heard some further news with regards to the new Kyosho today.

The news is that all the "Team Drivers" will soon be getting a prototype of the new car and have been asked to run the car for feedback.... I know that one of the "Australian Team Drivers" might already have this protoype and maybe already running it at local meets. I will keep you posted on further developments.

Cheers,

New Prototype? 10th scale or 8th scale?

yep been there i had a lot of problems with the 1 in my reflex i cleaned it with motor spray then lubed it with 1 way greese from hpi and that just made it slip but if you clean it and oil it with a good motor oil like mobil 1 the problem is fixed. just make sure that it is free of all the old greese. mine was packed so bad the motor spray had a hard time so i soaked it in tide then rinsed it out with motor spray but thats only as a last resort for getting all the old gunk out

My understanding is that Kyosho are happy with the front of the car. They apparantly weren't happy with the rear and this is the focus of the new car.

Maybe an adjustable rear sway bar, or a better floating body mount

Default Gearing for a V-1-RR

Can some one tell me what gearing might work best on a 280+135 track. The car has a O.S-TR on it thanks Tone.

How do you adjust for FRONT downstop and anti-roll bars for the V1RR since these 2 adjustments are on the same part? TIA!

I would be going for 18/22 pinion gears.

Adjust the downstop set screws firstly. Ensure that they are the same length for both of them. Set the Droop on ONE side firstly using this method. Once this is done use the adjuster cams to set the droop of the other side so that it is equal.
