what I emtn was is it worth upgrading the g4s to g4+ specs, or just run the g4s as it is?

i mean besides having to dump $120 on an ED tranny, the speed shot front bulk is a waste to me, is there any other upgrade?

still USD600 for an overweight car still doesn't make any sense to me

btw, anyone can get their upgraded G4S near 1725 grams?

anyone know how much those posts that hold the foam bumper go for either in aluminum or plastic?

I broke the stock ones on the mongoose and Im worried I might do the side with these if I run a 5mm ride height

there was one that was close think 1738, with speed shot and so on. but my car was overweight mainly due to running front and rear geared diffs. also servos play a part as well. looking into low profile servos which are 20 grams less in weight than full size servos. so there is 40 odd grams there.

If you want bling, then you can certainly upgrade all you want. What kind of track are you gonna be running on? If it is large and free flowing, I mean it doesn't have too many sharp turns, then you can stick with the regular tranny. Change the 1st gear to 18T pinion and 52 spur.
I still have my old RDLogic Mongoose with stock gearing, and it still pulls well at a large, free flowing track.

To get more bang for the buck, get used to your current car first, then upgrade. Then you'll really know how much value each upgrade is worth. Just put in some track time and practice practice practice.

Good luck boss

Woah...I wasn't expecting that the price of this kit would be this high... I once owned a G4S and I got that kit for around $300 only. What a big price increase...

wow thats good, with carbon graphite upper deck, upper bumper, alu pulleys it's over 1800
So if this G4+ is a fully hopped up G4S then I'm thinking around 1850

1850! Wow, I had to add weight to my car at the last meeting it ran. This was with a LOLA body on and was 1760 with the touring car body on.

It looks legit, look at the paypal address: [email protected]

I guess TM is selling #1 on ebay (it's not 1 & 999, just #1). And starting the bidding at less than the dealer price.

Daz ~ How much does your ride weigh? What engine, pipe, battery and servos are you using? Have you trimmed any weight off the car?

Thanks!

My one came in at 1726 2 weeks ago with touring car body and ED trans but without the transponder.

It does not have any of the alloy option parts runs ceramic bearings and a few titanium screws. Engine is a Novarossi Plus 12 and servo's are HiTec & Futaba - nothing special.

The cars aren't overweight and with a little work they can go pretty close to the mark.
