Patto, I don't know for sure so don't quote me but I think the ally parts are anodized black now so that could explain it.

Also, for anyone that's interested, I see my guy in Western Australia has pretty competitive pricing on the G4+ on his website. Check it out at www.rcgear.com.au.

its hard to tell from pics, but it looks like the same material as the front speed shot brace. which is nylon. but hard to tell for sure.

Looking at the spec sheet it doesn't say that there is an ally middle mount, so it could be plastic. Won't know for sure until it arrives I guess

well i have confirmation that the G4+ is also available from http://www.racedayhobbies.com/ . also they have the upgrade parts to make the G4S a + . do check for the update on the web site.
would also be good to hear from TM America driver Mike Blackstock to see how the testing is going with the car.

PattonJr... we are waiting on a few more parts .. Once i get them i will send out a full report on testing on here or the raceday hobbies site in the racing forum or the other g4s ... I am very excited... but until i get a few more parts we must wait :-(

I am very committed to this and look forward to the upcoming races...

Wonder if all pulleys except the big one in the rear are metal?

To answer some of the questions:

Yes the car does come semi built. As you see it in the pic is how it comes out of the box. Fr Layshaft??? Its the ED trans, what more do you want?

All alloy parts are anodised black. Except the side brace and brake bracket.

The top cage of the Speed shot is plastic, much better in my opinion. More flex more steering.

All pulleys are metal except the rear diffenenrial.

Good luck with the car Mike, im sure you and the car will perform

I'm sure this has been asked, but with the opening in the chassis now closed, how the heck do you get to the reciever? Do you have to take the whole upper deck off now?

How sweet does that look. Nice touch with the gold printing on the shock tower as well.

Top plate or remove the motor, either way will work.
