Well I hope the track is ready. I know that Ted hopes it's ready....... I know as usual he has been working hard as well as many others. With the heat we are going to get this week, the new canopy over the drivers stand will be really nice! Now as long as everyone is nice to the tech guys the week will be good. A big thanks for everyone's hard work!!

Default Speed camera

FYI for those in a hurry to get there, a speed camera is located on Woodville road between 280 and the track.

Yes, thanks to all that helped get thing ready on Tues. Scott, David, Lou PZ, Louie SZ, Rick, Marvin, Mark, John, Nathan, John, Shawn, Brent and my little buddy Roger E.

Around 50 racers at the track late Tuesday afternoon and evening tweaking their monkeys. The track was sprayed at 8:15 PM and we should be ready for 5 HOT days of racing.

Mike Myers will give an update this evening.

Race coverage of the event starts tonight on SGrid Online, www.sgrid.com. There will be updates each day, as well as photos. As before, the main article will be published in RC Car Magazine - I'll post what issue as soon as I get that information. In the meantime, there should be daily coverage as well as photos, possibly including some video.

Check if your account on SGrid Online is working properly early in the week, as towards the end of the week I might be too busy. If there are any questions, you can email me at "mikem @ rc-racing.com".

Good enough for me.

If possible, please use Veoh (http://www.veoh.com) instead of YouTube. You can upload larger files, the quality is better and we can download your original for even better quality. Cost nothing to upload or download - you just have to register.

First Update: IT's HOT!!!!

The fastest sedans I saw today were Bobby Flack, Ralph Burch (with his chief mechanic Drew Ellis, also known as Mini Mark), and Barry Baker, they were running low 19's and a whole bunch of guys were running high 19's and low 20's.

The fastest 1/8th were Paul Ciccarello, Scott Kimbrough, and Josh Cyrul, they were running mid 17's and a whole bunch of guys were running low 18's.

Tire wear is very low and the traction is very high.

I would guess there were about about 70 to 80 people at the track today.

CEFX has a great hobby shop set up in a trailer with lots of parts for all brands of cars...plus it is air conditioned for an extra reason to go buy something. Mark Unger also has his trailer full of parts as well.

More practice tomorrow which will be controlled practice split up by 1/8 and 1/10.

Bobby and Ralph have both run in the 18's the first guys to do so since the track was brand new back in 2004.
