No really, i picked up the car from the table after the winter stop, it sticked to the table because of the diff leaking. The diffs had new orings and even had extra glue sealing on the outside...

so, what is the real solution? I have rtv in my toolbox but everytime I open the diff, it would be needed again

I use liquid gasket to seal op the diffs, with the xray o rings i would need a new one every time i open up a diff.
My diffs don't leak at all, left them all winter in the original cardboard box and not even a single stain.
If you build xray diffs properly they don't leak.

I use ultra black permatex RTV and when you remove the cap it usually stays as one piece on the main case side if you aren't using a new diff case. Keeps the mess down a bit. and since it makes its own little gasket it makes dealing with it at the track better since the little oring is captured. Hope it works for you. Cheers

I've never had an issue with the NT1 diffs leaking. Sometimes diffs leak if there just over filled, which you may have done. Make sure all the screws are nice and snug, and that the o-rings aren't worn. Thats just about all I can really think of...

Same here, liquid gasket and never have any leak. We run on a track with around 80-90 feet straight with tight in field most of us use front one-way with 30,000 rear. Very stable but wants to try may be 35,000 at the rear this weekend to get the tail a bit quicker.

You will notice that the more that you talk/type on the net, the more it opens you up for those arguments that you just spoke of. I've been dealing with those kind of people most of my life.

thanks for the replies. It seems that rtv is the solution for me, I'll try it and post my experiences.

What liquid sealing do you guys use exactly?
Had a race this weekend, DS Motorsports was also there, that car looks sweet! Nicely balanced and right on the weight target... good job man!!
