My old car is getting faster, (or maybe more track time is helping with my driving..). Our track is reasonably short, so I'm not using everything this amazing engine can give. Found good gains by reducing the intake size with a restrictor, and reducing throttle travel. Also really liking the new Corally tyres my local store is bringing in, running 37F&R, and it feels very planted.

I'm pretty sure it's because the car is sorted out. Not a lot of unanswered Q's concerning this platform.

No don't believe it is anything against Xray and their products. It is a sign of the times and the low numbers now involved with nitro on road racing. In my parts of the World, electric on-road is the most popular but then electric off road and nitro off road by far have the biggest numbers and regularly week in week out.

Once you figure out the NT1, have a great setup and don't have many questions left, there isnt a whole lot more to talk about.. Just drive it!

my 2012 still running great, the 16 is waiting for me to build it.

I will let you know how it performs. I will be at GLARCRC for the regionals and know there will be some running. I will not get to run mine till the next club race and plan to run the Desoto race. My NT1 16 came yesterday, not enough time to run it this time.

I could not find any serious build or race videos of this version of the nt1 yet... I hope it helps you at the GLARCRC race, but you will need to test it as soon as possible to figure it out before the race.... Many nt1 15 racers had to relearn how to set their car up coming from the nt1 14... I guess it will be the same with the 16... Good luck....

2015 to 2016 not a lot different so some people may hold off on upgrading. I must admit previously i would have been one of the first to upgrade when a new model was released... it maybe old age but my results are the same with my 12 year old NTC3.

I had an mtx6 for about a month and a half as I just get back to rc from a 8 year break. But prior to my break I ran many different cars.

No problem, I found the build and fit & finish of my 2015 NT1 to not have been as good as previous generation of the NT1.

Let me ask you xrays owners "what body do you prefer? I know driving style and track will play a big role but I want to see what the consensus is.
