Default Picco P9

Hey love this tread a lot of good information. I just purchased a Picco .21 P9 Evo3 to throw into my DM1 and was looking for suggestions on pipes. Thanks.

Default Center universal drive shafts

Anybody know some center universal drive shafts that would fit the 1/7 dm-1? I came across these, tower hobbies says they are 115m in length http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXTVA8&P=7

These look a little longer http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXLMZ6&P=7

For the guys looking for a good alternative body to run on the DM1

The Ipanema Warrior bodies are now available at www.maxvelocityracing.com

Fits both DM1-Spec and DM-1 1/7 Scale. Reason being that the rear quarter panels are extended to all variable chassis lenth.

Default Handling Problem

So, I got a new DM-1 Spec RTR a few weeks go.
Already put over 1/2 gallon through it too.
While I was out driving one afternoon and developed a handling problem, so I took it apart to track the problem down.

Could this be the problem?

I had a receiver pack go and the car launched a curb, flew about 30 feet in the air, nose planted in a neighbors yard and finally came to rest another 25-30ft away...after tumbling and flipping several times.
I was very lucky that nothing (or nobody) was hurt or damaged.
I wont be doing that anymore.

The only thing that happened was the chassis bent and the rear upper hinge pin holder broke.

On a happy ending though, it finally gave me the opportunity to do this...

I have the 7075 King Headz chassis coming to replace the stock one, then I will source parts to have 2 DMs...1 electric and 1 nitro.

I love this car!

Do you rotate your tires after every run? Fronts usually do wear fast because they get more friction from turning. rotating them will help make them last longer

I have a set. Unfortunately I have not had a chance to run them yet. They have a much taller overall diameter so I am going to cut them down before I run them. I only bought them because the price was right and I really like the look of the wheels. Any racing I do will be with Ipanema rubber slicks.

When you upgrade the front shocktower to the stand up do you lengthen the ball end to make it fit into the arm or get longer shock shafts. I would like to lay them down as far as possible.. Any pics would be great Thanks for the help

I have the maxvelocityracing carbon front one and I didn't do anything special. If you use the stock rear in front then you will need longer shocks. I hope this answered your question.

I lengthened mine 2-3 threads with the max velocity tower.
