Ha!.. Five years...
I recently put the 454 out of an LST2 in my DM-1, and gave it a run. Thank god I don't have to mess with a starter box anymore.. (for this car. Don't mind it for my buggs and truggs..) Ran great..
It remains my opinion though that onroad cars for just messing around on the street though are kind of dumb. No traction, and nowhere really to use them..(big enough, without stones, or cars, or people, etc..) At least for me. I really just like it for the nitro factor actually...
Still, was fun to get it out and mess around.

Exactly what I do with 2008 IGT. Electric cars are boring to bash around.
