Tried it
Hi Dennis...I tried what you suggested, and this thing I'd have to say is pretty worn out...after the piston passes the ports, it starts to build pressure, but if you keep an easy, steady turning force on the flywheel, it creeps right on through the entire cycle...
I guess I'll pick up a new piston/sleeve...in YOUR opinion, what is the proper way to break in an MT12?
Thanks!
Ron

I know that this is a constant question and I have seen it in this string. But what is the Difference between the RTO and RTU. What are the beni's between the two. Thanks. If it is already posted send me the link. It will take me hours to go thru this whole string and find it.
Thanks,
Ryan

Dennis,
I called Castle after I got of the phone with you yesterday evening. They did have the Collari in stock so I when ahead and ordered it. It should be here friday.
I am not sure if I will be sending this one to you or another one. I will keep you posted.

Dennis,
I just recieved my Collari XS12PSS. Do you know if they do any mods to this thing. It looked a little rought when I recieved it. Let me know. I may or may not send this one to you. It is a pull start so I will see how I like it. I was kinda disappointed that it was also a side exhaust. I could have messed up when I ordered it though.

No that is not what I wanted. I asked the guy at Castle if he had the new Collari in and he said yes. He did tell me that he only had the pull start so I thought about it and went ahead and ordered it. I figured it could be modified to take a standard backplate, which it can. As far as the roughness, it has a few scratches on the carb and the block. Is this the right engine besides it being a pullstart side exhaust? If not should I send it back? I am willing to sacrifice if it is the same engine just side exhaust and pull start. What do you think

Dennis when will you be getting some MT-12s in? Also what is the ultimate small block motor. I've been hearing some talk about these Collari motors, my LHS has yet to stock one so I'm still waiting to see one. What do you recommend? I think I want to stick with the MT-12
Also, I have the Novamega inline polished exhaust for a .15 RE motor. It is a very very sweat exhaust, brand new. What affect will that exhaust have on one of your modified MT-12s? Will the larger pipe deliver more power or will it hurt me? I am not concerned about the exhaust being legal or not. Please advise.
Thanks,
JB
