I definitely would go for the Dome body. Maybe you would try with the red rear springs to see if things got better to you with them.

Go with long wheelbase and maybe reduce the caster to see if you get better steering. What rear upper arm position you're using? Long, Middle, Short?

I don't have the R version. I thought the short wheelbase turned better.

Turn in off power, on power or while braking? Rear sway bar is at 3mm? You may simply want to lay the front shocks down.

I take it that the red springs are stiffer then the white ones?

Thanks, I'm running the blade type sway so I'll try on a stiffer setting. I also just put the pink springs on the rear also to see if that helps. Which is stiffer the pinks or the reds?

Btw the problem is at corner entry.

Hi quietstorm76,

The Pinks are stiffer than the Reds.

What steering ackerman are you using on the car?

I'm using ackerman A and 5.5 rear blocks.

Any suggestion how to make my MRX4-R to rotate ( carry corner speed ) faster ?

I find my car is slow at medium and low speed corners.

I'm using 5.5 rear susp. block and A steering ackerman with all white springs.

Since your looking for more at "Corner Entry", try going to the D Ackerman. I find it gives more "Initial Turn In" entering the corner. But note that steering amount would "wash off" as you exit the corner. The A Ackerman gives the least amount of "Initial Turn In" entering the corner but makes the car hold tighter exiting the corner.

Depending on the track / layout you run at, if D or A Ackerman is extreme as I described above, use the B or C ackerman to find your sweet spot.

There are few other things you can do to gain steering from the car...

- What Shock Oil do you have right now?
- Do you have the new Rear Floating Body Mount on the car?
- Front body mount?

Its good to see you're planning to try the new MSR Whip because you will gain steering with this body, yet maintaining overall stability.

Note: you will need to use the long Front Body post for the MSR Whip.

Quite amazing to hear you have not enough steering on an MRX-4R compared to the rest of the cars mentioned. Where we're at the MRX-4r have the most steering, almost to a point of oversteer.

If the advise you get here is still not enough steering for you.... i think you should check your controller EPA!

I'm not running the MRX4-R, just the regular 4. I'm going to convert to the R, but I just got the car. The box setup is good, it handles worlds better than my MRX3 did. I'm just looking to dial it more to my liking.

I don't have the new rear body mount or any "R" upgrades.

Has anyone ever used a smaller restrictor in the carb to get better fuel mileage? Does it make much of a differance on the power or fuel mileage?
