Finally a new nitro 1/10 scale belt design that makes sense....Thank you Daniel, you are the new 'Bert' for nitro belt cars or the new nitro 'Oleg'...ahahah.....Maybe you should call it the 'Nitromatix' or something...lol...In any case, you already know that Bert spotted a few heavy parts that will need to be lightened or eliminated: front spool will be lighter, lighter air filter, and lighter engine head, etc...The drivetrain is almost as light as my ntc3.2 drivetrain! Bravo!!!
Anyways, you have just designed the new nitro car to have for the future !!! Hopefully Xray, Serpent, and Capricorn will take notes....

Production wise I do not think it is a succes. Look that guy his Facebook page and see he needed to mill on the crankcase of the engines to make space for the belt

An engine milling/dremeling process is not a deal breaker if the car is faster than the competition by far...We have to see how fast it will go first though....

Wow...Thanks for the race update....
I watched the car race in the Bmain and it seemed pushy in the turns, but fast at the end of the straight. A faster Picco engine would perform better. Hopefully Daniel did not run the chunky tires in the pictures above: any tire over 60mm will cause these issues...Also, the car seems very thin, not over 199.5mm wide: hopefully I am wrong...Hopefully the gearing was on point(1st: 7.1fdr/2nd:4.8fdr), but tires have to be trued properly, and the chassis might need a body with alot of front downforce for better steering...

It will be a very long time before he even considers putting that car into production. Its a prototype and that's it. They require a lot of testing and changes before kitting.

If he can get the car to win the majority of the rest of the ENS races, or at least consistently post better laptimes than everybody else, then it will go into production either by Rebellion RC or some other entity...

Engine dimension aren't homologated? Like the mounting has to be universal for every manufacture. If so, that's probably what breaks the deal.

I am confident that different pulley sizes and different belts can be found to work around all .12 engines...Engine manufacturers might even make engines to fit the new design if it starts winning most of the big Euro races this year...Not a problem at all there...

There's going to be an issue with the dampeners. They are Patented by Oleg Babich.

How many patented products have been copied in RC ? Nearly all of them....lol....I would not be surprised if a company not known to Daniel came out with a similar chassis before the conclusion of the ENS series...
