Schedule update:

We are awaiting asphalt in Cincinnati and hope to have it down in April but we cannot control mother nature and the contractors. The first race will go as scheduled at Big Dog in May, and the second date is confirmed but we will announce the location at by the 1st race weekend in May. If the track in Cincinnati will not be ready, John at Big Dog has agreed to take on the June date also. As of this moment the schedule is as follows:

May 14-15 Big Dog Rc
June 18-19 TSRCAR or Big Dog RC
July 23-24 TSRCAR during fair
Aug 25-28 GLC, TSRCAR
Sept 10-11 Big Dog RC
Oct 1-2 TSRCAR

All historical classes will be offered as well as a 1/8 sportsman that will be 1/8 scale 5mm restrictor 16% fuel pretty simple, If not enought to separate, we can mix into another 1/8 class. We also want to recognize the passing of Midwest Series Legend Rick Davis with one of our classes, which one TBD. Hopefully more to follow....

Correct, the track address is 665 N. Broadway Street Lebanon, OH 45036. We will post hotels of chice but its near a major amusement park, casino, horse track, etc. so plenty of options for dining and lodging.

Default Drivers stand

The container to be used for the drivers stand at the new asphalt track in Cincinnati was delivered today. As you can see, the area is already graveled and based in and just needs the final “prep” before paving. We don’t yet have the paving date but things are coming along! We can now start on the railing and such.

Thanks for the view. I can't wait. Will the track layout be the same as Toledo?

I dont know what dimensions the Toledo track was but we plan to run the layout (s) from the 2002 and 2003 IFMAR Worlds that we had in Cincinnati. The track wont be that big but a scaled version of it. The plot from the aerial has changed a bit as they have widened the area and we are moving to the right (west) about 40 yards. I dont know that we will paint the track year one but we will at least white line the layout and if time allows paint.

Dennis. I did some quick research...........Toledo 232x113x240x122 (235x 118 average), Hamilton WC layout 265x123x279x130 (260x126 average), Joliet Illinois 220x72x230x120 (225x95 average)............the new track layout based on the above outline 225x85x225x95 (225x90 average). The new track definitely will be short by alot on width and lenght compare to the 2003 WC layout but definitely can get the layout copied and modified and still get the feel of the 2003 WC layout.

By comparing the other 1/8th track layout, seems like the new track is kinda narrow by 20 feet or so. If possible, make the width of the track around 120' will be ideal. I can help to do the layout of the track if you can get me a true survey (just outline is fine) and I can overlay alot of 1/8th around the world onto the new location and give you some idea. Let me know.....(Howard from Chicago)

Available funds and available space will be the determining factor for ending size. To recreate the Worlds track in total in todays cost would be way beyond our budget.

Saturday, April 30 - Test and tune at Big Dog RC in Stoneboro.

Anyone wanting to run their cars before the May 14-15 Midwest Series race, come on out to Big Dogs. The track will also be available on Friday, but it won’t be sprayed.

Default Race 1

Big Dog is also running 1/10 mod electric sedan and 1/10 WGT pan if anyone has an extra car. Spread the word! Also 1/8 sportsman we will allow up to a 5.5mm carb restrictor. Apparently no one has the 5.0mm any longer. 5.5 are common, and TWorks also has a 5.3MM. I plan to have some extra 16% fuel if anyone wants to run and doesnt have the right fuel.

Any updates on track status, Dennis?
