can someone please explain which are the softer to harder in the new spring

The way they are listed is the soft to hard.

New Spring ratings

N/mm lb/inch

thanks but i dont get it. the older spring were measue by diameter of the spring such 1.4mm thick to 2.0mm thick. the new ones have a rating that i dont understand.

The new ones are rated by compression; Newtons per mm compressed or pounds needed per inch compressed. Its more meaningful and consistent this way rather than thickness of the coil because there are no proper standards for the actual coil/spring materials. Just my 2 cents.

The new springs are easier to understand. It also helps with comparing notes on all springs. most of the companies use a compression rate. I like the new way of reading the springs, although it will take some getting used to.

Hey DJ which color of the new springs have you been using.You didn't put the springs on your last setup.

I still use the old springs out of habit. I am going to start using the new springs at the next race. Most likely front blue and rear orange or red.

Yesterday I race and used Red 27mm in the rear and Pink 23mm in the front, they work perfect with 40 tire front and rear, this was in a mid to low traction parking lot track.

I finish third, the card was handling excellent.

Yeah I'm thinking about switching to a nova or rb r3 but my sponsor (my wallet) is being cheap at the moment..
