duneland, It's an inside joke. I'm sure the traction compound will be brought up again.

Compound
Traction compound is a highly debated topic... The debate is challenging, I liken it to religon or simply, trying to convince a Ford person Chevy is better, or vice a versa, it's all about personal preference and incredibly difficult to make the everyone happy.. I like Toledo's track (luv the GLC's), but I enjoyed the WinterNats too, where Sugar Water was used for traction compound. The Cincy track has used VHT for the last several years and is likely to continue.
Our last Midwest Series was likely overkill on the traction (if that's possible ), of the 125 drivers, 124 thought the traction might have been a bit much, with track times lower than the IFMAR worlds held there two years prior, if the car didn't roll over you could go through all but one corner on power The one corner in question was the corner with the AMB timing loop, we found that the silicon used to hold the loop in place never cured, and created quite a slippery mess around the loop.. Once corrected (dug out and replaced), the remaining club races went very well.

Traction was very high for my shoes! Car wasn't so good. Slip & stick, slip & stick. Oh well, I'll have more time to set-up this year.

Yeap, there was the one vote that it was slick

Track tip of the day, Serpent racers can start with a 16/19 Pinion, and 49/44 Spurs.. The 19/44 combo (Second Gear) and tires smaller than 66/72mm will likely let you hear the monkey scream. (Tedism)..
Tire wear last year was fantastic, err very little (about 1.5mm for a 30 minute main, I do need to caveat, however, that way my driving).
It's difficult to say how and what it will be this year, we've got a lot of racing ahead of us before the Nats - WOOHOO!!

At the end of last season, I ran 35 Rears and 37 Fronts. Also, if you check out our forum on www.TSRCAR.com , I posted my set-up from the MWSeries last year (Serpent 960)... That set-up might be a little overkill now, since it was a fresh track seal with traction compound and a lot of drivers for the MWS race, however, it might give you an idea.
