Jason,
The Econo-lodge is a little closer but not nearly as nice as the Hamiltonian, and the rates are the same.

Qualifiers are 5 minutes in length, using ROAR qual points to establish main positions. We plan on using the IFMAR style X-mas tree system for mains that will include bump ups, just waiting for approval.

If anyone has contacted the Hamiltonian Hotel and were told they were sold out, that is incorrect information. The Hotel is sold out, but we have a block of rooms under Tri-State RC Auto Racers that still has availability. So when calling, just tell them you are coming for the Tri-State event and there are plenty of rooms left.

Default ROAR Approved Bodies

Greetings to the Cinncy Crew,

At the Tri-State race last weekend, there was a good deal of conversation about what bodies are approved by ROAR for use at the upcoming 1/8th NATS race. I'm not sure there was a conclusion to that discussion, but it might be helpful for all who are coming in October to know what position will be taken on acceptable bodies. Many currently in use, such as the Kyosho Dome, the Mugen shell, the Serpent Evo3 and even the Delta body, aren't on the approved list, but are the bodies most of us have been running both at the MWS and most of the major races in the U.S. this year.

It's never any fun to have to cut out a body and paint it during the race, so some guidance on this would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks, Steve Lazarus

Good point Steve. Many of us would like to know that to save last minute aggravation.

Default approved bodies

I'll stick my neck out here but with a little investigation at the ROAR site and the manufacturers sites I determined the Kyosho Dome, all models, and the Parma 1220 and 1221 bodies are legal to use. Am I correct? I haven't investigated the Mugen, Delta, or Serpent bodies yet.

Anyone?

Also for all the racers that are planning to frequent our track...... the traction is as good as ever for this year. Granted that tire wear is a little high, but the traction is awesome. Last weekend we were in the 19 second per lap range. We haven't been there since the Midwest series last year. There should be some 16 lap qualifiers coming up real soon.

Since this is a ROAR National Event, ROAR Rules apply.
The approved body list is posted on ROAR's website http://www.roarracing.com/approvals/sbody.php
Be sure to check the experiation dates listed for each body.

It is at ROAR's discretion to approve additional bodies and if they choose to do so, they will post them on their site.

Doug

Default Last Chance for "Pre-Nats" Practice

Drivers,

This weekend September 10th, is the last "club race" with a "prepped" track before the 2006 ROAR 'Open' Fuel Nationals October 4th through the 8th.

If you're interested in running on a prepared surface in preparation of the Nationals we look forward to seeing you this Sunday. The weather channel shows Sunday to be a fantastic day, 80 degree high, with a 20% or less chance of rain...

Just fantastic weather for an even better day of racing.. Ah the smell of ntiro!!!

p.s. That weather comment is going to comeback and bite me in the butt
