ahh.. king headz.. i remember those parts.. throwback.. hahah.. does xray make option alum steering knuckles? i will have to look..

i know we had some for our xb9.. but i think they needed the aluminum caster block right?

But i rarely use the kit bodies anyways. Heck i remember back when kits used to come with tires. When they quit guys complained even though they never used them. Now we are just happy if we get a set of wheels with it. Most onroad kits dont come with bodies either. So a race kit without a body isnt very shocking to me, Just out of the norm for off road.
On a post on Tessmans Facebook he said that the North American kits will come with a body which is exclusively distributed by RC America

body looks killer. a fatter version of the Tekno body with proline durability. nice job Xray. digging the rear as well! looking like a "jet"!

That wouldn't be a good idea. If it is anything like past truggy offerings from XRay, there are not many bodies that will fit. They tend to use weird body post placement etc.

so how come they move away from the Pivot Balls type style to c hub as the buggy run Pivot Balls style why didt they just do a Pivot Balls style type truggy

they just used the same old parts ! i got a very old xt8 and it's the same thing as the old xb808 buggy

they didn't evolve to PBS on the truggy...

Xt8 2017 version uses a c hub which looks like the first xray buggy. It is not the same as the xb808.

the XT8, is c-hub obviously. Here is a list of the changes.

Updated Front and rear shock towers, aluminum.
Updated front and rear shocks, hard anodized
Updated chassis, longer, and motor moved forward and more center..
updated V2 diffs.
Updated gas tank, low profile
Updated drive shafts
updated side guards, similar to xb8
carbon chassis stiffener (option part)
updated front and rear arms, material, and design
updated front steering ackerman, graphite servo saver
lightweight wheel hexes

Ok fellas! XT8 arriving next week. The order has been placed. Can someone please recommend a starting set up on this truck! Ty's starting XB8 set up was very very good! Recommendations please! Arizona Fear Farm traction and dirt. Appreciated and hope to see more XT8's out there.
