Does mean they might do this to the E817?

I'd think so, guess it depends on the E817 sales numbers as well.

It seems kind of funny that HB came out with the E817 buggy in January 2017 and then did not release the D817 buggy until April 2017 and now HB is coming out with the V2 upgrades to the D817 first before the E817?

I don't think scheduling has anything to do with it. There are more major changes specific to the nitro counterpart as it has seen more races therefore more race miles which translates to more feedback and development time. You can probably easily tally up how many major races Ronnefalk (let alone all the HB racing team drivers involved) has used the nitro buggy only, nitro buggy + ebuggy, nitro buggy + truggy over the past year.

New nitro specific parts:
• NEW 7075 aluminum chassis
• NEW Aluminum center bulkhead stiffener
• NEW Updated aluminum flywheel
• NEW O-ring brake linkage spacers

General '817 series' parts:
• NEW Strengthened aluminum 17.5° caster blocks - V3? revised 15° and 20° options too?
• NEW Aluminum front linkage spacers - possibly orange using their existing parts bin...
https://www.amainhobbies.com/hb-raci...112797/p298447
• NEW Molded nylon rear wing - Can already get a this part now in a number of colour options...
• NEW JConcepts Silencer buggy body - could be used on the ebuggy as well
• NEW Narrow rear shock tower
• NEW Revised rear shock length (+5mm)

The E817 chassis already has plenty of chassis bracing from the get go; lesson learned from the tekno v4 conversion prototypes...
What other improvements do you think the E817 needs? I'll be getting some of the part individually...
Aside from the above, there may very well be an E817 V2 coming...

I suspect the revised bracing on the nitro is HB Racings answer to carbon fibre/alum radio tray stiffeners currently used.

Hi, been having issues with idle settings but I think I have it settled on LRP .30 Spec 3. My major issue is that I have 2 LRP motors .28 and .30 the spin start is different on them. The nut on the back is different on them. One is 3/8 the other is 7/16. The smaller one has stripped, rounding off the corners. Any help would be great.

I sold my TLR 4.0 to get into electric and the HB E817 is what I plan on getting. I assumed if the nitro is getting a face lift then it only stands to reason the Ebuggy would get one. Don't know if it needs any improvement. (I've heard nothing but good things about the ebuggy.) But, isn't the E817 the first 1/8 Ebuggy developed by HB? Also since it's raining and there's no 1/8 racing I might be better off waiting to see if the E817 gets the v2 upgrade before I buy.

The ebuggy in it's current state is the best rc car I've ever driven!

Default High tower

Just a heads up with the V2 tower and shocks, the only part you need to change in the shocks is the plastic shock end. This needs to be the end from the old D8T part number 67820.
