The m2c throttle horns are good but not necessary as long as your throttle and brake EPAs are set properly. When using the plastic horn be sure to dial the EPAs down first then increase them to he desired point.
Both Ryan and Joe use the plastic horns and I don't believe they've ever had an issue with them.

I've been using the Tekno plastic one on both my NB and NT for 3 yrs now. Never an issue.................

I would advis against the m2c aluminum horn. I'm Using a 25 spline and I cannot get the gear that sits inside the horn off my servo

Trying to go back to the plastic, just can't seem to get the aluminum insert off the servo

I also use the plastic stock throttle/brake on both my nb and nt. I did strip one by having it on the wrong model, so always check your model before turning on your car lol.

I just picked up a nice clean used NB 48.3 on a trade. Can someone give me a good base line setup, I do not have a manual or point me in the right direction. I live in upstate NY, most tracks near me are outdoor, open, medium traction, bumpy.
Thanks
Thanks

Below are a few parts for the NB48.4 that will directly fit the NB48.3. There are quite a few changes between the .3 and .4 but these are a select few that will help to significantly improve performance.
New ackerman and bellcranks from the NB48.4. Use these parts and TKR8104, TKR8100. You'll want to shorten each steering rod by 6mm (3mm on each side of both right and left sides) to get proper toe.
TKR5199 HRC rear hubs. As it helps stabilize the rear of the vehicle.
Low frequency springs. This is a link to all LF springs, be sure to select the ones you want.
Hope this helps and let us know if you need help with anything.

Thanks for the suggestions, what improvements do the parts you suggested provide? The a-arms are sloppy, I haven't torn the buggy down, but believe the hinge pin inserts are worn and need replacing, also the shock upper eye lets are worn. Other than that the buggy feels tight, but I haven't ran it yet.

The ackerman helps calm the buggy down. The .3 had a lot of steering at corner entry and this helps smooth entry and provides more on corner exit. Basically more on power steering.
The hubs provide more consistent rear grip. On low traction tracks the rear would want to over rotate on corners, the HRC hubs helped a lot.
The low frequency springs improved consistency on bumpy tracks. Basically made it handle bumps better.
Except for the ackerman and bell cranks, you don't need to do all of these changes at once and can spread them over time to help ease the cost. None of them are very expensive but after buying the buggy I'm sure you're not looking to spend more money.

VRP Gamechanger pistons
Anyone having any luck with the Gamechanger pistons? What's your setup?

Cjwilly,
There are a few people using the vrp pistons on the .4 buggy. Most are using the v2 pistons (I believe that's what they're called) that only have one valve and accelerate rebound. You might try posting in the nb48.4 thread since this is thread is for an old vehicle.
