Essentials

a) IMPORTANT: Use wash like MUGE0161 "Mugen FRONT TRACK WIDTH ADJUSTMENT SPACER) on lower Pivot balls to prevent premature failure.

Dimensions of washer: 6mm inner and 14mm outer so any equivalent brand will work.

Recommendations

a) Use Alum Servo Arm

TD340122 25T
TD340123 24T
TD340124 23T

or Hot Bodies 67168 24T, 67169 25T or 67167 23T

b) The tank lid seal can be adjusted with the screw in the centre. The tighter the screw the LESS the tank will seal. Screw-off 1 or 2 turns just make it perfect.

c) For the front bumper not touch the inserts, also have removed the boss inside the front bumper

The front bumper on the buggy has two standoffs on it, each standoff is positioned right over the insert on either side, if you nose dive to hard or hit the front awkward the standoffs can push your hinge pin through the back insert.
The fix is to dremel off the standoffs.

d) Also, glue the nut in the servo-saver

e) Shock Build options

Got my DNX8 all cleaned up and ready to finish up the summer season. Going to be interesting to see the upcoming Worlds. I know Travis is going. Any other Durango guys running at worlds?

who are durango's big guns these days besides Travis? I heard one of them recently was spotted with a Losi vehicle so may not be with the team that is left anymore?

Finishing up on my DNX8 here shortly.

Ran into a couple weird things I'm not comfortable with.

The big one is this little arm/connector thing that goes from the top gear of the servo, through the same screw as the servo arm, and to the rear right side screw on the ctr diff.

Did any of guys actually do that?

I'm really thinking I don't want to and I wonder what other way is there to strengthen up that servo mounting.

You can run it without the brace if you want to as the tray is pretty stiff but I recommend using it as it will help with the consistency. The ball will pivot with the servo arm, I never had a problem with it. Just put a dab of blue loctite on the screw so it doesn't come out and make sure it's not too tight so it won't bind. I love my S350 EVO II but I kinda am a fan of my old DNX8's radio tray. Just seems simpler and more direct.

So with Loctite on the screw, does it then get tightened at all? So that the little ball in the connector is doing the turning inside the plastic part?

There's some things I like and don't like about the radio tray set up on this. One thing I don't care for is the size of the rx box. I have 3 other projects going on right now too: 1st gen XB8, OFNA 9.5 Pro, and RC8.2e that I'm converting to nitro. All3 of those have huge rx boxes and I love it. I like having more space than not enough.

Yes, the box is a bit tight. I prefer it to be a bit snug so my rx isn't bouncing around or I gotta put a huge peice of foam in it. Most recievers nowadays aren't that big. Once it is all in it works good, yes, the ball does the pivoting for the servo, tighten it snug just don't reef on it. Just like steering links and all, pivots freely. The only thing I didn't like is the radio box screws. I stripped the tiny 1.5mm heads out of one and had to drill the bugger out. Maybe different screws?

the radio box screws (assuming they are the same on the dex8 and desc10 which I have) I use AE's black hex driver on from what I recall, I forget the size but its definitely not a 1.5mm screw head. They fit very snug in the screw, no stripping.

Personally I would have rather had something that had a simple 1 screw latch flipup box.

Is it those blue things on the suspension arms? Those look good and functional considering what I've seen with arms on this car.

What are they and where did they come from?

Hello
I just deleted some defects dnx8 .
I chose to mount the triangles / rocket / carding 93.5mm front RC8B3 ( more could pull a steering ball) .
The diff dnx8 games take too quickly at the nuts , so I replaced the boards with diff tki3 / 4 with the brake discs since dnx8 brake discs are badly calibrated.
All amounts without any change you just 3 shims for diff cells in forward / back .
Now my DNX8 is perfect and very reliable.

Bonjour
