A first, second, and third during the last three Worlds? Anyone betting against him not doing more of the same this year probably isnt being very realistic (new buggy or not).

Yes he did. He is the current 1/8 Gas Truck National Champion and finished 4th in Buggy at the Nats. I believe he has proved himself a nitro 1/8 scale stud and a strong contender for the Worlds.

He is also the National Champion in both Buggy and Truggy for electric 1/8 this year. He has done better than anyone this year in 1/8 scale besides Tessman.

Yep, he sure did, however the worlds is 1/8 scale nitro buggy only. That's all I am referring to in my post. I'm not looking at electric, nor truggy. The Nats was won by Tessman.

Yes, Phend is in my top 5 to win the worlds but he has to remain consistent to finish as does everyone. I would say the best result coming from a Losi just could be Maifield.

Default well

he is the best overall driver right now speed wise and has been stepping it up every year. He has almost won 3 national titles in nitro buggy. it has been elusive but still kid can drive.
In 2010 he got 13th in nitro buggy at the nats
In 2011 he got 6th.
In 2012 Dakotah got 2nd by an inch. almost won.
In 2013 he was kicking their butts and had some servo failure? I don't remember but I do know he was killing them and broke in the semi.

In 2014 got 4th he was on rails and hit a spot in the track and flew off the back and got a bad marshal job.

Then how do you explain Tessmann's results?

2010: 9th
2011: 5th
2012: 1st
2013: 12th
2014: 1st

2012 Worlds 2nd

"he is the best overall driver right now speed wise and has been stepping it up every year."

Tessmann has beat Phend at EVERY SINGLE ONE of the listed races. I'm not giving you my opinion, I don't care who is better, I am just tired of always reading about cars, drivers, whatever, where things are stated as facts when they are just opinions, and not even opinions based on facts. Come on people....

yeah overall consistency certainly goes to Tessman. I just think Phend is doing great that's all. You sure are tired of a lot of things JQ. Quit complaining. I'm just having a fun discussion. No need to make it a federal case. I meant Phend has faster laps but tessman is really consistent. I thought that was fact. Come on person.
