I agree with you. At the very least they should have offered to repair it even if there was a fee.

Yes, Savox has taken over the servo market in this area as well. I've had lemons with all brands. So far my 1267 and 1268 are going on 4-years old and that's with alot of time on them.

In store replacement is correct. Beware of where you buy.

I did purchased the 1283 based on others review on its durability, but only to find out the hard way.

I purchased mine from Nitrohouse.com and picked it up will call at the store. Their address and phone number are listed on the Savox dealer locator. Now how are people suppose to know that not all their dealers participate in their 1 year replacement program?

Humm, I got say my Savox servos and I have a lot of them have not had one failure other than me doing the damage to the wires and I let Savox know what I did and they said send it in to get it fixed, I have 9 servos right now from 1257's to 2273's and all have been stout no failure, They are in mt SC's, X3 buggies, Nexx 8 truggy, X3 Gt's and a TC. Some I have now as back up's because they were going from standard battery to HV, using Li-fe and Lipos . Broke one like four years ago at Hot Rod on the banked wall and using the wall as the turn did not lift all the way through and did that several time till it stripped the next day at practice, totally me breaking it. I'm sure if you fill out the warranty paperwork and send it in along with your receipt they will take care of it.

This is why I'm upset about this whole situation because I did go through the RMA online process and they denied it claiming it's gear set damage due to misuse. My servo did not even go through a fraction of the abuse that you just described. I've had it for two months ran it for a total of 2 hours combined during practice runs with no major crashes.

I will have to admit hitec has great customer service. When I ran them I had no problems with any issue but, is this because they "just do it." With the small portion of the market they have that can't be cost effective.
I decided to run savox this tulime around just to try something different since I heard great things about them. So far so good during these couple of years(8th scale). I checked mine the other day and I was surprised at how little to no play the gears had in them.

That does kind of suck that they didn't offer to repair/replace for a small fee just to make you happy. I don't know. Maybe dude can help you out, to help savox out.
