You said that a month ago, but you're still whining 'bout easy newb stuff.

If ya'll can't handle basic wrenching, maybe you shouldn't be giving advice in a tech thread. I laid out exactly how to fix the car, 3 times. With no extra parts needed, give or take the damn Orings. All you've been able to figure out is how to complain.

Sorry, but it's hard NOT to talk down to ya'll, when this is such an easy concept to understand.

Nope. Check your droop. Reset, and clean the pivot balls. Check your hinge pin settings. Make sure your alignment isn't allowing too much straight linking of the steering tie rods. Something is way off. Way off.

If you're running too much front droop, you'll need to bring the arms back, and the tie rods forward. 0 to -1mm is all I run since 2011.

There has to be some play in the pivot balls. Not floppy Losi amounts of play, but some. Check the slop in a new HB car, and set just a hair less than that.

But if you really haven't spotted it, you're likely better of switching to a C-hub (Kyo,HB), or Zero-kingpin (Losi, Tekno, Xb9) type of car. Although, in rare cases, you can have this fault there as well. Gen1 B44's were notorious for this, and that's a plain jane king pin knuckle car.

Zerodefect, you just wont get it, huh?
Again, thank u very much, but the last thing on earth i need is wrenching tips.
Story ends here.

I did a back to back test yesterday on the new trailing front hubs. That tiny movement of the driveline position made a nice change on the track. It does exactly what RC America told me it would. Smooth out initial steering and increase corner exit.

Been running the Mugen spring setup everyone seems to run I think it's 1.6x 9.25 fr and 1.6x 10.5 rear. Although stiffer than stock I think they are still too soft. Had an indoor event this past weekend, ordered up some stiffer units... Mugen 1.6x9 front and 1.6x10.25 rear in Nitro and 1.6x8.75 fr, 1.6x10 R in E buggy. Finally both cars are maintaining some ride height in the bumps and are landing better in the flat . Dont be afraid to go a little stiffer. I know the next question is piston and oil... It was about 30 to 35 all day in the building -15 outside... I was running Xray 6 hole 1.3's with 30wt losi oil. Typically run 45wt.....

I have a question for XRAY owners: can you measure diameter of steering link coupled with XRA352670 ball joints? TIA

Hey all, This has probably been answered but there is binding in the front of my xray xb8 2016 arms and pivotballsetting, I can admit I havent used the box setup as I like a long wheelbase car. Could this be an issue?

My second issue is the screwsgoing into my radio tray dont seem to get fully tight, they still spin even when level with the chasis.

I know stupid questions but this is what I'am after.

Have you over tensioned the pillow balls? Over twnsion any of the suspension components?. Did you ream out the arms?

The pivotballs are not over tensioned, they are fine with a little bit of play. The arms are free moving, drop up and down freely under there own weight. Everything is free, I cant see anything hitting, and there is stilla binding issue. I'am not impressed......My mugen mbx7r was allowing full droop and full turning radius with no binding what so ever.
