The most disconcerting thing should be that even though it was supposedly communicated to the racers prior to the event (wasn't there so not sure just going off the article), that 25+ racers still did it. That's a rampant issue that needs to be addressed immediately, perhaps by suspending racers for multiple future events. If the rules specifically state you can't do something and you do it anyway, penalties need to be levied and examples made so the rules are more likely to be followed next time. Slapping wrists ain't gonna get it done. My $0.02.

25 racers seems like differences in ruling between countries?
I can not imagine 25 racers do cheat in a same way.

A gyro alone wont do that. You would need active suspension for that. All it is is a stability control like many real cars have these days (though more crude).

F. eksaple, if you car hits a rut and your not fast enough to countersteer you will be sideway or upside down. If you have a gyro, it would detect that and countersteer and you will just be crusing on.
Gyre is mounted between the steeringservo and reciver, jsuut as in a helicopter. It would be a huge advantage over a finale.

I would actually quite like to see one of these things in action, just to see how effective it is. Should be like playing Forza with the assists on

not surprised by this, a lot of people here in italy are trying out gyros. IF you can set it up right, it helps countersteering the car; making you more consistent lap over lap.
italian association AMSCI has actually approved the use of them because how people think in italy is "if someone else is doing it, then it's ok for everyone"
BTW it's not alien technology, just search "GYC430 Futaba", 80€ and you are good to go
p.s. i never tried one, but i know people who did/does
