Thanks
Tekno has the new spurs on their website. Part #5119. Fits both NT and NB48.3.

Default Gearing

Will I see a noticeable difference in going from a 48t to a 46t spur? Was going to try a 14T pinion, but think I will try a 46t spur.

The gear ratio with the 48t is as follows:
13 tooth clutch bell
48 tooth spur gear
9 tooth pinion
40 tooth diff ring gear, thus gear ratio was:

48/13*40/9 = 16.41 gear ratio

The new gear ratio with the 46t spur is:
13 tooth clutch bell
46 tooth spur gear
9 tooth pinion
40 tooth diff ring gear, ratio is:

46/13*40/9 = 15.73 gear ratio

What does this mean? Take engine rpm, divide by gear ratio and that is the rpm of your tires.

Therefore the 46 tooth spur will theoretically have more top end by about 4% and reduced bottom end torque.

Hope this helps..............

Default Gearing

Thanks Retired09. Yeah, the top end gain I like. Loosing that bottom end torque, idk. Idk how noticeable that will be. I don't want the truck to seem sluggish coming out of the corners. Theorectically, using a 44T spur shouldn't be as dramatic as using a 14T pinion so I'm going to try the 44T and see what I think. Hopefully it gets here fri so I can try it on sat.

Please be aware that the new spur gear (all NT spur gears) is meant to be used with the new chassis (TKR5407). When the two are used together there shouldn't be any more spur gear issues. Thanks.

Will there be a V3 48t spur gear coming out?

The TKR5415B is still the option. It is modified slightly (thicker), but we kept the same part #. They were out of stock for so long that pretty much any shop that has them now will have the latest stock. They are available now on our site as well.

Default Throttle Link

Had anybody had problems with the throttle link popping off? If so, what is the solution? A couple of us are having this problem. I will probably ask Tekno too, but I was wondering. One of the Truggies is brand new so the ball cup is brand new.

I had the same thing happen it was the return spring making the ball end pop out so if you. Have a return spring on you truggy check that if not just put a different one on
