I'm anticipating some of that - happened to me with my XB8! The only thing that gives me a bit of pause is that I am REALLY liking the way it is in control under braking, it just squats a bit and scrubs speed quick versus the back end coming up w/o having to adjust the bias a lot as I like more front brake then rear.

Got rained out today for practice, ill let everyone know how I like the lighter diffs when I race on Saturday. Guy I always battle with just got a new mbx7t, so hes looking to give me a better chase now. It's gonna be fun. I'm gunning for the high spot on the podium on Saturday!
Has anyone messed with front arm sweep? It's a setup I've never had the option of changing on other truggies I've owned. Still have it the stock position.
I saw a big change when I moved the motor back, but I liked te way it turned so I'm moving it back up... I also like the way it drove when I removed the small rear chassis brace. Flex is good for traction!

Ok 3rd race day today. After making some changes, as listed in previous posts, but the major change was lightening the diffs. I ran 7-7-7. Truck was unbelievable. It's always been good, but today it was beyond good. I placed 2nd, but honestly I can't hang with the guy who placed first, he's sponsored by Kyosho, reds engines, proline ect... But after the 20 minute main there was less than a lap between us. Destroyed all my previous fast lap times. Truggy is so predictable with the lighter diffs. Truck also attracted alot of attention. Guy running a serpent told me he's never raced another truggy that turned inside him. My buddy I race with just upgraded from a mugen -6tr to a -7t. He said it was not as much of a change as he expected. I feel 100% confident I made a great decision to go with the NT48. Also the new mugen -7t broke a pillowball... I didn't see it happen, but my buddy can drive so I was suprised he broke out...
Anyhow, just wanted to keep an update going. And also a Reds Racing R5T team edition 2 engine with a 2104 pipe and xs manifold is about the smoothest motor I've ever driven that still had enough bottom end to rip a truggy around at will. Love the whole package!

[QUOTE=teknorc;13339860]Sounds awesome. Thanks for the feedback on the diffs. I personally haven't tried them that light, but I will after this report.
Let me know your thoughts! It made the truck alot more controlled coming out of corners, although the center might have been a tiny bit light as my trucks front tires were blowing up just a bit more than I like. Still was great though!!

Hey that body does look great!! Does it fit the chassis fairly snug? A couple years ago I ran a mbx5t body I had laying around on a 6t, which has a much narrower chassis. I could tell it affected the handling when it was falling out of the sky... I can only assume it was grabbing the air and parachuting. Just curious how tight it is. I put heavy duty Velcro on the dudes of the chassis and the inside of the body to keep some grit and air out.... Plenty of air gets in around the wheelwells....

Engine mounted up... ready for action. Additional note, I applied some foam where the shock towers hit the body, not sure what kind it is, but has a stick back and is of the firmer variety. Also applies shoe-goo around the front wheel arches and on all bend points that I could find.
