Default How does it handle

I'd like to know how this buggy handles in comparison to say a HB D812. Anybody experienced with driving both? Particularly interested in corner speed and stability over rough tracks. and how is the adjustability? Cheers

From the stock setup I went all the way in on the front shock lower hole for more droop and I also went to 3 degrees of rear toe with hubs all the way back. It made the car more stable for me.

I also stayed with the kit oils after trying something thicker and it didnt make the car better for me. I also left out the rear most screw on both mud guards to get a little bit more chassis flex.

Another thing I tried was lowering the rear roll center on the tower (raised the link ) and this made the car flip over a bit too much so I think stock rear link setup is best. This kit responds really well to changes and its pretty easy to dial in to your style. To say im very happy with it is understating it by a fair amount.

Almost forgot, the stock pistons are money! Really glad they included the machined 8x1.3s in the box. This car has a dialed shock package. Tripple guides and cnc pistons make for a silky smooth shock. These are every bit as smooth as the kyoshos

Hey man, thanks. Any other input will be great as well. On my buddies car the rear seemed to be loose. We dropped the the camber link and it helped. The car seem to respond well to changes. With the amount of adjustability on it would be nice to know what people are doing for different track conditions. . As far as build fit and finish. I have not seen anything close to it..

The track I ran on had traction to spare when it was wet so I didnt experience any rear traction issues, but I would make absolutely sure tires are suited to the track conditions and then make changes from there. Another thing I did was swap the sway bars around.

Thanks spunky. Swaping sway bars is calming the steering down? As I notice the car has alot. Whats that doing to the rear?

It slows the steering and gives the rear more traction out of corners. Swapping the sway bars is probably one of the best things to do in low traction conditions.

We are running a 2.8 sway in front and 2.5 in the rear for bumpy low bite conditions. It helped a bunch and allowed us to drive harder and faster without the car wanting to get out of shape in the rough stuff.

If you need more steering at that point, remove some of the steering stop washers for more overall turning angle.

Guys I just ordered my NB48 from Pete at Fierce RC Solutions and he said he will be stocked up on replacements and hopups this coming week. Fast response and good guy to deal with from start to finish!

Starter box question - seems the chassis layout can present issues finding the right box and since I am just getting back into nitro I don't have a box laying around to test. So, some are suggesting the Hudy box, which to me looks like a rebadged Mugen B3. Thoughts as the Mugen box is a great box and about $30 bones to the good in cost.

Thoughts on this box vs the old trusty Ofna truggy box?

This box works perfect and its very inexpensive. Amain also carries all the spare parts for it should the need arise (mine hasn't failed me yet)

Thanks Spunkysandoval. Did I read that you should change out the wiring harness if you plan to use 4s Lipos?

Thanks,
Chad

Probably or you will fry the factory connectors depending on what they are.
