Setup Tips

Gwoodrc, sounds like your diffs are too light. You said your track was blue groove and hard pack but didn't say if it is medium to high bite. If it is then try 7-7-5 only use 5-5-3 on loose low bite tracks.

Also please take a look at the latest setup on our site. We recently made two huge discoveries with the NB. We went to a heaver front sway bar, reduced rear tow and moved the rear hubs forward. This made the rear end extremely planted and removed all "edgyness".

The EB and NB are very similar but the weight and balance are much different. They will tune very similarly but the setups will not be exactly the same.

Thanks for the suggestions, I tried tooling at the set ups online but they keep coming up as blanks (maybe cause I'm on an iPhone, need to try on a PC). I run 5/5/3 on my e-car so I built the NB that way also, I started with 7/7/5 on the e-car and dropped to the lighter cause I like the way it rotated better off throttle with the lighter diffs. I did notice that I was having excessive wheel spin with the light diffs and that was the next thing I was gonna try this week end. I went to 35f/30r in the shocks and then stood them up a hole and the car felt a lot better also.

Yea I finally got the setup off the website so I'm gonna go to the track tomorrow and try it that way. The set up I have now is good, just have to be careful getting back into the throttle out of the turn. When I started with kit set up it was good but just felt like it didn't carry much corner speed in the turn so I had to free the car up to get it to maintain speed through the corner.

also try a stiffer sway bar in the front that will help with twitch and edgyness

I'll try it but scared to loose any steering.

if you get in the throttle a little earlier with that diff setup you will bring the car around and should not lose steering.
