I want to use a clamp style servo horn on my d812 is this possible or do I have to use the Hb horns?

This is the horn I'd like to use cause of the sweet orange washer lol

Not hate. Just don't like the looks of something that looks like it's in intensive care.

Yes, You can. You will have to mount the steering link on top of the horn (As pictured with Ty's E Conversion above).

I run that horn on our d8t and it works great. As smiley said you run the link on top. I had to countersink the bottom of the horn for a flathead screw as a button head would have hit the servo case.

I have ran the stock plastic HB horn with zero issues.

Yes, On th estandard ve8 or Tekno, The Exabyte for th D8 works great and has clearence for most 4S Lipos. On my Tekno, I am using the Night Fox for the Agama. I just prefer the handling of the cab forward bodies. It fits the Tekno Conversion really good with clearance for 4S Lipos as well.

The CF on Hara's is just a top cover. The horn it self is plastic.

If these are the parts you have and are talking about then they should cause they are listed as option parts for the d812.. Hope this helps.
