That seems about a $134 spread. Considering that D8 Hara's were going most everywhere in the USA for $400 (sometimes less) that's too big of a spread. I don't see anything to justify it.

Hope that this one actually comes out. I like the looks of it with the Tekno chassis!

Wonder what kind of price that is (not retail?), because it's $692USD converted.

But the Hara kit price you gave from the same place comes to $557USD after exchange, even though they are selling for $399-410 here in the USA.

Using those figures, after percentage adjustment, USA street price would be right around $503USD ($499 is my guess) for D812.

Hmmm, will be curious to look over parts list and compatibility when I get some time and see whats good to refresh an older D8 with.

The chassis seems to be a tad "neater" for some reason, and loving the attention to aero detail!

I was on the hpi Europe site and looked at the link for the D8'12 and it and it gave a full list of the parts list and listed some option parts as well.

I saw on the europe site that the chassis is a 3mm one. As far as inserts go, Pretty much all the other cars have the set included so HB should provide you with it. For price I say 450. Keeping it around 450 will give a price advantage over the other top level cars. Plus it doesn't come with the center DCJ like the Hara ed so...

Looking at this parts page, you can kind of tell what it comes standard.
http://www.hpieurope.com/parts.php?l...&partNo=109428

Like how all the gears, shock body, shock shaft. etc are all new parts
The uni drive shaft is also 92mm like the WCE shaft.

On a side note, I saw pics of Hara's car at the worlds. It seems his car is pretty stock, with the exception of the angled front tower and raised rear wing. Maybe his role is to act as a control to see how well the stock version performs.

I've been complaining about HB all this time, but they finally seem to be delivering. Hope the team does well.

Good pickup!

Things I also noticed:
- Rear pivot block options for rear toe adjustments (finally!)
- Steering knuckle & caster blocks with varying angles
- Straight cut crown and bevel gear?!

Adjustable high/low roll center hingepin mounts in the rear is money!

With the longer shock bodies, are the shock shaft longer as well?

Hopefully we'll see some new spring sets too; the existing ones doesn't appear to be listed for this kit.
