Using good thread-locker on the grub screw that holds the pin doesn't help for my case, perhaps it's the front and rear chassis-stiffener screws were a little loose and that causes too much flex on an extreme bumpy track with big jumps.
The D812 center front front and rear drive shaft is identical to the Hara Edition, illogically the later never drop any. I do use heat-shrink tubing for the center shafts for both cars.
I install that to my D812 as I happened to have them as spares for my old Hara Edition, it does rotates a little better with the '2 Joints' compared to the standard one that has only '1 joint'. Since then, no pin drop out, but it's heavy.

does anyone have any issues running the lipo in the rear box with the engine heat? I tried running a flat pack alongside the tray on the mud guard, with Velcro, and two zip ties.
Stays fine, but I keep popping off a zip tie or two every few runs.
Just trying to figure out a solution in a pinch.

I copied this image from somewhere, get a piece of carbon fibre and trim it yourself.

Good luck cutting those covers out of carbon fiber. Carbon fiber is really difficult to cut and the the dust that it creates is harmful to breathe in. In fact, I tried and mine came out like garbage. Just trying to save you some headache. The ones in the picture were milled.

Carbon fiber dust is not toxic, however, it is a mild irritant to the skin, eyes, and lungs, much like fiberglass.
And also, it's he wanted a solution in a pinch, not me.

One of the D812 cars that I bought from JD Mora who worked at HPI had a Reedy lipo in the front box. It was a tight fit but it was in there.

I do drop out the stock center front drive shaft (universal-joint-pin was gone) twice on a very bumpy track.

In Spain the tracks usually have many bumpy.
I'll buy this option

It slipped my mind, I got a friend that managed to fit in a 7.4V 1500mAh Nosram Lipo battery in the stock D8 battery compartment.
Attachment 1103380
Another friend mentioned the Robitronic 2S fits perfectly too but I don't have any picture on that.

Parts are in stock, Kits to follow later this month. I have had so many people comment on my 812 that there is a waiting list at my local shop awaiting kits. The distribution switch to GP is what caused the massive delay. Any other company would have similar issues with such a large switch. Either way, There will always be people that dislike and hate on the brand.

I sadly broke the ball cup on my throttle linkage tonight, anyone know which other ball cups fit? I don't want to buy a new linkage kit if I can find some replasement cups instead.
Cheers
