Gold is aggressive and Red is less aggressive.
They will work in any conditions and on any tire, but will work differently with each compound. So you will have to test it at your track to see which works best.
But basically, the gold will give you more traction then red, but will wear the tires out faster.

I got my Turbo Trax and Strikers in the new extra soft compound yesterday. Very nice. They are going to hook up for sure! I will try them this weekend since it is only going to be 50 degrees outside.

I tried both the XSF Strikers and XSF Turbotrax last weekend. Weather was in the high 40's. They hooked up very good but the track I was running at is notorious for eating tires so I didnt run them in the a-main. I went back to strikers in super soft for the main.
I was impressed with the amount of grip I had in the cold temps with this new compound. I plan on running them again in January at the classic in Savannah GA. They should work well down there.
Overall i was very happy with these tires, I will be ordering some more soon.

Quick question on the pit caddy...does it have a shoulder strap? It looks like there is a loop on the end in the pic but I can't tell what is hooked to it, plus I cannot see the other side of the bag. My wife (AKA pit girl) wants a bag with a shoulder strap on it. I was gonna buy the Protek bag since it was on sale this weekend but it doesn't appear to have one. Also does a 1/8 starter box fit in it?

XSF TurboTrax were dialed in the a-main this weekend. It was in the 40's and they stuck to the track like glue. Very happy with them.
Was leading the race until another racer spun out in the fastet part of the track and I nailed him breaking my a-arm.
