Has anyone tried running a rear tower up front, along with rear shocks?

tony montana 07-18-2013 03:45 PM

I think we need a shorter tower not a longer one

INTECH Austria new team leader- Martin Brandauer

http://www.rctech.net/forum/members/...teamleader.png

About Martin:

“Hello I’m Martin. I am 31 years old and I live in St. Aegyd of Austria. I drove the Team “Associated” for three years and then I tried the INTECH BR-6 in autumn of 2012.

I was very impressed from the very beginning. The car can be driven very confidently and immediately responds to change in the setup. I would say it fits perfectly with my style.

I hope to have a good time and cooperation with INTECH and Modellsport Trinko! ”

We are happy to have Martin with us to help the INTECH Austria drivers! Alexander Trinko would also work together with Martin, that’s a great news for INTECH (future) drivers! We hope you enjoy working with us!

Was having a pretty good day today at Round 4 of the monsters of the midwest series.....Then the rain came! The car felt really good. Cant say enough good things about the 15.2mm pistons.

Finished 2nd in my heat in Q1 9th overall (around 30 nitro buggies)
Q2 i had a tire come off the rim .. And then the rest was rained out.

Ran the BR6E today for the first time. It was really good also. I had electrical issues though that kept from finishing my heats... But untill the issues i was running first or second each heat.

The track was large, had big jumps and mostly sweeping corners, a few hair pins. On the high side of medium bite.

This the setup I ran in case you want to try it.

Rear:
Shock oil: VP-Pro 500cst
Piston: 15.2mm tapered piston
Shock location: Top row second from inside. Inside on arm.
Camber Link: Outside hole on hub, inside lowest hole on tower.
Rear arms middle
Rear hub back
.5 hinge pin inserts
124mm droop
Black orange dot spring

Front:
Shock oil: VP-Pro 550Cst
Piston: 15.2mm tapered piston
Shock location: Top row second from inside. Inside on arm.
Camber Link: inside lowest hole on tower.
12degree alum. Caster blocks
Stock kickup
Middle on ackerman
Full droop
Black pink dot spring
Arms middle

Had a real good test n tune day with the BR6 yesterday. I'm really pleased with the performance so far. I ran Ben's most recent setup except for the piston/oil combo. I used the new 15.2 pistons with 600f/400r. The track was pretty clapped out from all the rain we've had, but even in those conditions the car was fast, super stable, and predictable. I dropped the gearing to a 15t clutch bell. I'm also really happy with the feel and performance of the Thunder Innovations Pro One aluminum clutch. I've preferred the feel of a four shoe clutch for a long time, and this clutch with 2ea. 0.9 and 2ea. 1.0 springs felt exceptionally good.

Had A Real Good Run (In My Opinion) For My 1st Race On The Intech Being The Futaba Os Nitro Challenge... Took 3rd In The B Main Even After Starting 5th And Getting Into 1st Place But Running Out Of Fuel after five and a half minutes do a spike in the air humidity so that drop me back to 12th place I come in after 30 seconds of being stuck on the track and got myself back up to 5Th and then did another extra piT stop in the middle of all that but everyone else did not take and still wound up with a third-place PlAque... probably would have got 1st or 2nd place and got the bump into the a main but hey that's not too bad for my first race being a huge event With This car
