The 2096/41001 pipe/manifold works best but the 9901/41029 gives the best fuel mileage. Matt Sistrunk was getting 13:35 at the PNB in buggy with an RE-12 pipe (Losi's 9901) and TQ'd and won the Open buggy class.

In truggy, I am getting 12+ min on a tank and I got 12:45 at the PNB with the 2096 pipe and stock 6.5 reducer. I am getting 9:30-11:00 in buggy with the tuned version, but the stock gets even better fuel mileage.

The stock engine is 100% made by Novarossi. The tuned is modified by Maxy. The pre-broke in is broken in at the Novarossi Factroy. Maxy installs the ceramic bearings on the tuned version.

Before I had always run OS V-spec or the new XZ-B. This engine is better then both of them. It is easy to tune, more then enough bottom end for truggy, yet smooth enough for buggy.

G have any of your team members ran the maxey motor with a 2013 pipe?

You believe it can get 10+ min a tank what maxey/ 2013 combo?

There is no doubt the engine will do 10+ no matter what pipe, i have a factory P5 that will do 12.

Guys I drove my friends BR 6 and all I can say is get one . I know I am . The car was so easy to drive and be consistent lap after lap and seemed to gey faster as I pushed it .
I do have a few questions tho .
1 Thought I read somewhere on here that the car needed to have different shock pistons ?
2Do I need to order any extra hop ups ?
3what seems to break on the car ? Wanted to make sure I had spare
4 who has a set up for the car?
I know may friend used 3/5/3 in his diffs and 45/35 in the shocks just tryna line up everything before I hit send . Thanks guys

different shock pistons are just a tuning option.as for breakage the only thing I've seen break is caster blocks and hinge pins in cold weather.boil the plastic and you shouldn't have any problems.we've only ran the cars indoors so I don't really have a setup for outdoors yet.as for options they are just personal preference none are really needed.

The stock 1.3 pistons work good.
I have only bent rear shock shafts and broke a front bumper.

I did break a front caster block. But it was on the last lap of my ebuggy main where someone spun right in front of me on the straight and I hit him at full throttle. Surprised I didnt break more as hard as the hit was. I am running the stock 1.3 pistons. But I feel if you run them you have to go heavier with shock oil.

I have been running a jp3 pipe on my truggy. Perfect power and running mid 12 minutes run time and the engine is brand new.

I have tried a lot of differential setups and 5/5/5 is by far my favorite. Super smooth

Alright and what about ride height and droop?

I have ran anywhere from 26-29 and have been happy. Gene and Joey Perez run 29 or more. They suggested measuring from the droop tabs both front and back so that the ride height is slightly higher in back.

My droop is approximately 111mm front and 126mm rear. Center to Center of the shock bolts.

a BR-6 pilot here found another tuning aid..
he drove with a original BR-5 pinion and gear mounted up front, with the center and rear staying as Br-6, diffs 7/5/7, no..5/7/5
which gave him some front drive, a bit like the JQ-guys used to do, mixing the V1(43/11) and Smooth gears(45/13 - 43/13)
He says, the car was really transformed, a real joy to drive, easier, no sliding of the rear at all, super steering and the car can be made to rotate more easily
nice to play with and to recycle those BR-5 gears..
