I am considering squeezing the trigger on this buggy. Anyone here run/race at Revelation Raceway in So Cali? I'm curious as to your set up...durability and your overall opinion of this car. From reading this thread, most are in high favor of the car. Just looking for an opinion from someone who runs/races at my local track.
Revelation is a large outdoor, smooth and dusty track. Oh....and big jumps. Even though its dusty...traction is good.

I have my setup on my website. Just click the INTECH BR-6 tab. ;)

There are no tracks like Rev here in FL, but we are racing the PNB next week, so I will have a better idea of whether my setup will work there after then.

Ben & VP Pro,
Thanks for the input. I look forward to the updates. I'm sure the car can perform on the large scale tracks with the right set up. I'm running the Losi 2.0eu now. Its a good car but its time for something new. With so many good cars out, i really want to do some research before i squeeze the trigger on a kit. The Mugen, Agama and Intech are all within my price range. So its gonna be 1 of the 3.

I just ran against some Losi cars. It seemed I had a lot more natural corners speed than them. It's pretty effortless to turn a corner with the right setup.

Ben,

I was in your site and I saw that you put one Kikup optional plate on the front to get more kikup. Intech doesn´t have this optional part. What band do you use on the front Intech BR-6 plate?

Orcine Abreu 03-12-2013 12:52 PM

You uses a lot of kikup, getting a high total Caster degrees. What kind of track do you drive? Lost of Caster may loose lot of steer. Is that correct?

Orcine Abreu 03-12-2013 12:53 PM

Does Intech releases on shock shaft longer for the front? I need more drop.

speedy2 03-12-2013 01:00 PM

yes they said somewhere in the newest kits the shafts are longer

Ben, are you using Losi pistons?

Honestly, get the buggy you will not have any regrets. Don't worry about a setup it is very easy to get it to to hook up and where you can have fun driving it. You can tweak it form there. Also it is VERY easy to work on. I love the simplicity in design. I have not ran Rev yet but I am going to try and be there for the JBRL in June. I run my buggy at Fear Farm in Phoenix. I have had some serious crashes at full speed (: and have yet to break a part. Great customer support through VP Pro as well.

Gene told me that the kickup plate will be an option part. He sent it to me to try out. I'm still playing with it. Intech has .25* increments so you can really get exactly what you're after.

Joey,

No, I made my own. They are made from delrin and are a bit thicker than stock. I was after tighter tolerances. I only have .001" gap all around. I would like to get some made for resale. I really think it helped the buggy out in bumpy areas a lot.

Joey Powell 03-12-2013 02:02 PM

Right on. Do you need any help getting them machined?

Greg B 03-12-2013 02:21 PM

When I built the car, I had no real clue as where the setup needed to be and kinda took some info that I had gained by playing around with the JQ car and just built it to what I thought I may like. Five races later, I haven't changed anything other than running the Fioroni pistons. I'm faster and have good corner speed that I've never had before.
The car works period !
