Anyone running the pistons in a Losi 2.0 Buggy? If so, what's a good starting point for shock oils? Should I stick with the green/silver spring set up? Thanks

Tried the fioroni's in my MBX7 today. Started with 450 /400 at about 75 degrees. Very Soft went up after a tank to 575 / 525. big holes up. Felt really good absorbed landing well - rough stuff was good and felt really good and linear in the corners.

I will probably go up to 600-625 maybe even 650 in the front. 525 feels good in the rear.

Was using the csi blues before so I don't have any stock piston oils to compare sorry.

Stock in the rear and one heavier than stock in the front. I ended up with 650 / 525 and it felt great.

Now that summer is finally there, I had a chance to run my mbx6 with the fioroni pistons installed, I started with standard 450/400 but quickly went up to 550/500,. Feeling is that the car is much more planted and easier to drive, high jumps landings are a breath with now being possible to accelerate as soon as the wheels touch the ground, more side grip in high speed corners. I made almost a second faster on my last year best laps.
Compared to the old set up on the table I first thought that it was way too stiff but it seems that it works better that way.

Just finished rebuilding a Durango buggy that I bought from my track director.....opened up the shocks and found Fioroni pistons. He must have forgotten they were in there when he sold it me.....SCORE!

I know it's track specific, but what are folks finding is the best starting point for oils and springs on the DNX408? Hard clay track, mix of blue groove and fluff on the edges.....we've got a few big jumps on the track, but the rest is mainly the typical jumps you find on most 1/8th scale tracks.

What is the effect that you get when you go softer in rear shocks oil?
I have only tried stock oil, on my MBX7, 500 all four.

I just put the 16mm in my XRAY XB9, fit good on shafts and they were exactly same size as the stock pistons when measured with digital calipers, they fit it the cylinder perfect with no binding so I'm not sure why these aren't listed for use with the XB9 shocks. On the bench they feel great but need to go racing I guess and see if I notice any problems

These 16mm were perfect in all 3 XRAY's. The XB9, XB9E and XT9E. Best feel I have ever had on track. My lap consistency during one 10 main was around 98-99% with each lap only differing by a hundredth or so, 27.8-27.5-27.7-27.9 etc.
not sure why they aren't listed for use with the XRAY. Only question I have is what's average lifespan on these o-rings if I keep my oils fairly clean?

Every place listed in this thread as carrying them currently shows out of stock. 15's and 17's are available, just no 16's...
