Maybe it was just the first ones? This one was from 2006 when they just started making them.... they had something other than a ABC Sleeve and the motor basically lost all compression at a gallon...

My good old Tamiya Blackfoot with the hex dogbones that stripped out all the time along with my original Hotshot that exploded into a wall with a 7 turn modified motor powering it into the wall, ahhh good times. I also had the original RC10 GT with the black tub and powered by the good old OS 12. All those cars are gone now but so many good times with all of them.
I think my kyosho integra was a little older lol..... my first rc nitro buggy....and had that traxxas trx-1 also...won many races with that buggy! till losi came out with the ..hydro-drive....

looking through tower's massive yearly catalogue. yes an actual catalogue with pages and pictures and shit. making a list with order numbers so your mother could phone up tower and place an order for you.

the internet has definitely made RC much easier. been back for about a year and it's amazing how much easier it is now. still running my old B2 sport and gt factory team.

oh yeah anyone else remember 5 minute run times? trying to convince your friends that all the work, tinkering, and money was worth the five minutes.

lipos... holy cow. with two twenty dollar lipos i get an hours worth of bashing. amazing!

5 Minutes?

Man I remember that days of 4 minutes and if a false start happened, everyone was pissed and the whole race day got backed up 30-45 minutes easy.

Anyone remember when the elec. classes finally went to 5 minutes? Seemed like it took an Act of Congress to make that happen.
