Very nice! What's the theory behind running the battery in the front?

Weight distribution is much better on all four corners and jumping is dramatically improved.... At least thats the two main reasons we're running them up front here in the USA.

Yep Tony said it all, the car jumps more level and also gives a little more off power steering, also lets you keep more power on when going through the bumps.

Yes seems the way to go. I've noticed in the last year all the big players like Kyosho, AE, Mugen, and Xray have moved their batteries to the front of their top of the range cars. More weight at the front also helps keep the nose down on rough rutty tracks under heavy acceleration.

I'm in the market for a new buggy and won't consider one that does not allow for a factory mounted front receiver battery, that and both servos in the upright position (not flat down) are a must for me.

A few questions for those closer to this kit and in the know.

Have any front bulk heads cracked or broken during pre-production tests?

Is the front receiver/battery box larger than the front battery box on the Hara D8?

Would any normal hump pack 2S Lipo RX battery fit in the front box? (I'm thinking 2000mAh minimum in size.)

Hey John, the bulk heads were cracking in the first pre production kits, but Pro Speed have up dated 'beefed up' the the part that was at fault. I can't comment on the Hara D8 box, as I've not held a D8 in my hands. I think Tony used to race a D8 so he might be able to answer that one. I have got a standard hump rx pack in the front box with a little trimming, but I made a carbon brace to hold it in, but it could be held in with a heavy duty cable tie.

We have cracked a couple.. on some of the harder packed rocky tracks, But the production stuff is much beefier than what we're running. A std hump fits with plenty of room. I left my lid off and used a piece of spektrum velcro for heli's to secure it. I think the 1600 reedy pack will fit. I havent seen a 2000 thats listed small enough to fit. I also used an odonnell radio box I had lying around for the rear box, its small and light

The D8 battery box is alittle smaller than the Pro Speed... its almost impossible to get any decent sized lipo in it. ours has a few more options.

Thanks for the honest feedback guys. Really appreciated. The bulk heads were the only areas I was suspect on when looking at the pre-production pics. Excellent to hear that they beefed them up for the production kits.

Any more info on ETA of these kits?
