Jammin X1 - so close yet so far

the anti sqaut refers to the angle of the rear arms in relationship to the chassis. i belive the stock jammin set up is 3 degrees which means that the angle of the inner arm hinge pin in the rear is angled 3 degrees. with the high side in the front. anti squat affects on power traction. less anti squat allows the rear end to droop more on power giving more traction to the rear end during acceleration it will also provide more rear side bite during cornering due to less binding. more anti squat binds the rear suspension some what causing less traction. the advantage to having more antisquat is a looser rear end while cornering due to the binding and it will absorb bumps better off power. it will come down to driver preference and the car. and don't be afraid to test your own car don't just put some pro drivers set up on your car

Here's the part I do not understand. The anti-squat plate that comes with the FTE kit lists that part as ofna part # 40562, rear lower arm holder. And if that is really 3 degrees, why does the jammin site offer another rear 3 degree anti-squat plate as part # 40594 as a optional part. Seems kind of silly to me to offer the same part with 2 different part #s.

it definately 2 different thing..antisquat plate place front side of rear gear box and rear lower arm holder on back side of gear box

I noticed that the jammin plates are listed as cnc'd and the stock plate almost looks like it was stamped out, maybe that is the difference.

Anyone know if the ofna 063 pipe is suppost to be, high or low end. Its alot shorter than my JP1 pipe. From what I have been told that would make it a high end pipe, right?

Rocket42 very good explaination on anti squat, I couldn't have said it any better.
The 063 pipe has always been a bottom end pipe no matter who makes it.

The 3 degree is available on the site for the kits that do not include the 3 deg., being the Pro and RTR. My Pro kit came with a 2 deg., but I switched to the 1 deg.
macnkitty: Short, larger pipe: Top End
Long, smaller pipe: Bottom End

i had the jammin pro but not the factory team and switched to the hyper8 and i'am very pleased with the hyper8 it has more steering, is cheaper to maintain, and is also lighter. it does not have the stability of my jammin. but i'am still working on setting it up and i have gotten the stability closer to the jammin. it will be harder to find parts for than the jammin since it seems since the factory team has come out jammin is quickly becoming the hottest car at the track.
the hyper 8 is a top quality car to be fooled by the price. it does take a little more dremeling and hand tooling than the jammin. but it also has some nice features like self tapping screws which take less turns to install or remove.

I agree. The Hyper seems more suited to the smooth, Blue Groove tracks of today's time. I'd suggest a Mugen for a super-rough track.
The Jammin is an awesome car, and can be suited to fit any driver or track, but it's definately a more aggressive car; quite a bit harder to drive than others. I can run faster laps with my Jammin than I can with my Xray, but I can settle back into a line and run VERY consistent laps with the Xray: With the Jammin, I'll run a real hot lap, and then make a mistake trying to set up the next lap. Consistency is the key, IMO.
