My CR8 worked really good in qualifying at the nats. Two heats I was on TQ pace. One of them was briefly, the other I was going to TQ until my car flipped over with about 1 minute to go requiring a marshall from a hole in a jump. For the final I changed my setup some but it was the wrong call, the track conditions changed a lot from what I expected and I had some flame out problems with my motor. The CR8 is really good now and it's only an 'infant'. With a bit more time and development allowing the car to enter it's adolescence stage or adult stage of life the car will be very fast. In the buggy final a lot of cars that have been on the market for a long time did not finish or had temporary mechanical problems. The CR8 prototype car was able to finish the race.
In your opionion, what are some of the most noticable differences that you would say are favorable about campaigning the CR8 over the D8? I really like my Hara D8 and cant see myself wanting to get rid of that bad boy, but if the CR8 has some distinct advantages I would be very interested to find out what they are.
I know the new chassis is a revolutionary design concept for 1/8 racing, much like the ve8. My ve8 handled very very good with the composite chassis. Is working on the CR8 easier/more intuitive than the D8? I know that you are still learning so you may not yet have anwsers to these questions. It's just awesome to hear what is in store for Hot Bodies fans in the future
Thanks,
Isaac

The only thing I heard was that the CR8 will be lighter than the Hara. But when the time comes, who is going to be taking pre-orders? My Paypal is cocked and loaded.

I would keep your D8 I think they will both have their own place at certian tracks I think...

I sold mine.

A little more pack in the rear always seemed to help mine. I bounced around between 1.2 and 1.3 pistons.
I got the car to handle well. My setup was pretty close to the one that Tony Newland has posted on the Hara thread.
